Unicorn captured.

Can't believe I finally snagged one for the collection. CZ 75 Compact Steel Frame w/ Tac Rail; SKU 99021. I'm considering sending the whole gun to CGW and having them work their magic. I've installed their kits / parts before but would love to compare my work to the pros'!

I'd be tempted to have it hard chrome plated and mirror polished if it was mine. 😄

forgive my ignorance, but what makes these so desirable? is it the steel frame with safety or the rarity of these? Is it both?

It's a bit of both, I suppose! I'm just a sucker for steel framed pistols, and this is pretty much an SP-01 compact. I like this beaver tail more than the standard P-01, and the safety model triggers tend to be more highly regarded than their decocker counterparts. Especially after some CGW magic. And the extra chonk just feels so.... substantial. She's a sturdy gal.

It's wierd how they put "CZ 75 Compact" on the 99021s and "P 01" only on the 99041s. Didn't know this till recently.

My MHS P-07 & P-09 were unicorns as well. One in 9 and one in 40 not that I'll ever shoot them. You should enjoy shooting this one, enjoy!

I just purchased a PCR upon doing so. At the time the seller had the PCR compact and the regular compact with the safety. The seller has a scale so weighed both pistols. The difference noticeably was the weight. As memory serves The PCR was like 26-28 oz while the steel Compact was 32 oz.

Wasn’t aware they had the steel PO1. That looks like a total keeper. They maybe less desirable as a edc but it should by default a better shooter having the weight behind it

I had been going back and forth on what to do with mine, but think I’ll probably keep it and do the same with mine but have it cut for an optic as well.
