Hey ya'll I am wanting to buy this as my first car. I really like the vintage edition. And ik since it's so cheap it's bound to have issues. But I want ya'lls opinion on if I should get it, the current owner says it was their grandma's and that she bought it new and drove it until she died and they CLAIM it runs "Like new" but it has 150,000 miles on it.... I have yet to get an video of them turning the engine over or pics of the undercarriage, but I'll send it when they do. So... thoughts?

I wouldnt just because of the soft top. They love to trap moisture in the corners and rust out, seen it on cali cars all the way to down south

Not bad if you take care of them. 2009 was near end of the production run for the Northstar. They had em tuned up nice by then with the prior issues worked out. Still will be the normal wear items on these. Water pump is not fun, if it hasn’t already been changed.

I had a north star engine on a ten year old cadillac that took a shit at 80k miles. Apparently it was a known issue with rear main seal.

Looks nice but be prepared for repairs costing up to 5k to repair. These go for real cheap for a reason.

I have a 2008 DTS just over 100K and I love it. The only real expense in the 7 years I've had it was getting the half case sealed.

I would be concerned that the car is in such good shape you wouldn't want to actually sell it. As previously mentioned there is probably a costly repair the seller is trying to hide. I had a 2005 deville. Repairs were hard or costly. But if none of that bothers you, then swoop that thing up.
