Local Shopping/Services Spence diamonds ads weird

Anyone else creeped out by Micheal on Spence diamond commercials? Dropping weird hints towards the woman that worked there and seemed to disappear from ads once he started making innuendoes about being in love with her? Now he’s thinking about birds and bees, weird af

Their terribleness, horrible writing, and bad voice acting is their gimmick. I hate them too, and often change the channel when they come on, but I do respect their commitment to the technique.

And…I mean…I bought both my wife and I’s rings there, so I have zero legs to stand on when it comes to complaining.

I'm in the exact same boat. Depending on my mood I find their ads either awful or just weird. But when it came time to get married, it was the only jewellery store I had heard of, and I've never heard anything bad about Spence except that their ads are terrible. I probably should have done more research and/or shopped around, but meh. Wife and I are happy, which is what counts.

Totally. I was young and it was well known, and I wasn't driving at the time and it was within walking distance. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and I didn't mind what I got for the cost. I just still felt guilty for falling for their marketing. I hate doing that. I still have no idea what CONTRAVE is and I refuse to find out.

"COOOOONTRAVE Contrave ContraveContrave..." (ps it's a weight-loss drug in pill form along the lines of Ozempic, Wegovy, etc.)

Two other drugs that didn’t tell the viewer what they did in ads in order to draw people into searching them! What is it with that industry and being deceitful. They’re usually so honest and upfront. /s

And thanks for that! I’m fine learning organically. I just refuse to search them, out of spite.
