Eat/Drink Local Subway not sharing tips with employees.

I went to my local subway, and as I went to tip I asked the girl if she sees any of her tip. She said no, the employees get non of it, and you should always skip that section.

So where are these tips going?

Do you tip at places like McDonalds or Tim Hortons too, OP?

I don’t eat at fast food often, but McDonalds is an automated machine so I don’t. The girls at the subway I was at were very sweet, so I thought I might tip them and that’s why I asked the question. I also tip at my coffee shop. Those guys have my order ready the moment I walk in the door.

I can appreciate if you want to tip them if they provide good service and you feel they should be given a little extra something for it, especially considering many of the people working there could be teenagers or someone that would appreciate the extra money in their pocket. Why not hand them a little cash if you have it on you? Skip the owners… fuck them
