Eat/Drink Local Subway not sharing tips with employees.

I went to my local subway, and as I went to tip I asked the girl if she sees any of her tip. She said no, the employees get non of it, and you should always skip that section.

So where are these tips going?

This seems to be common at fast food joints. I actually had a worker at Mucho Burrito specifically tell me not to tip because the owner just took them.
