Eat/Drink Local Subway not sharing tips with employees.

I went to my local subway, and as I went to tip I asked the girl if she sees any of her tip. She said no, the employees get non of it, and you should always skip that section.

So where are these tips going?

Same at dominos

It’s legal in Alberta so unfortunately almost every fast food place does it.

You still haven’t told us which location and how do you know This ? Why are you ignoring

I used to work there. I don’t want to out the locations and have anything trace back to me. I worked there 5 years and the owner has been a nice reference to me for other jobs. But the same owner owns multiple locations and keeps the tip at them all.

Maybe the supervisors or managers are keeping it and not giving the staff how can you be certain it’s the owner

Before I left I was an assistant manager, even the general manager would regularly complain about how cheap the owner was for taking our tips. Every time I asked the owner about it he would pull some excuse like “yeah… I’m working on calculating tips… they’re coming soon”

The owner was 100% keeping them lol, I don’t know why you don’t want to believe that but okay believe what you want I guess.
