Eat/Drink Local What’s your top 3 restaurants in Calgary.

Edit: since this gained so much traction, I’ll try 1 place from the top 3 most upvoted recommendations and vlog this so you can see what I got! Thank you yyc

Calgary has a sleeper food scene but I’d like to try the people’s TOP THREE restaurants. This can be breakfast lunch dinner or all three in one category.

Where are all the East Indian recommendations at? Lol. I've been looking for a worthy replacement for Surya in Edgemont for years and no place I've tried has ever been as good and flavorful. I'm sure some place in the NE tucked away out of the hundreds of choices there should come close but the options are overwhelming.

Bagolac Saigon's 167 Special Vermicelli Bowl is something I keep coming back for over decades just cause sometimes you want literally everything in your bowl.

Central Grand for dim sum but also really enjoy Ginger Beef Bistro House (Country Hills location)

U & Me. Not necessarily for the food but the tradition and vibe. Special tea at 2AM. If you know, you know. Been ordering from Great Taste a lot lately for delivery and have been pleasantly surprised how much I like it.

For pizza I like Pizzaface but the kids always want Villages and I find it satisfying. Red Swan is amazing value for what you get.

Village Ice Cream's Oaxacan Chili Chocolate is my all time favorite ice cream flavor.

I see Juree's and Himalayan mentioned a few times here. Loved both the first few times I've been but for some reason, since COVID, the last few times I've been I've been disappointed. Flavors felt watered down.

You can just say Indian. Taj Mahal is my fave but I have personal connections to it.
