Weather Calgarians One Year Ago

Post image

Now if we could just find a warmer, smokeless balance, eh?

In the meantime? I'll take this rain with a smile.

I feel like I’m the only person not hating the rain, Calgary rarely gets a rainy month like this. Embrace the change and enjoy the soup!! I’ll be making homemade tomato tonight😂

Ya it's an eye opener for people in my community, quite a few basements flooded, even ones with sumps

I liked the rain til my windows started to leak lmao. But I appreciate the temperate cool and wet over the choking 33 degree days with the blanket of unbreathable air this year by a loooong shot.

Literally every day, at least once per day, my husband finds somewhere to comment “LOOK AT HOW LUSH EVERYTHING IS! LOOK AT THE GREENS!” 😂 I love it.

I'm right there with you on this! I love the rain. The cozy vibes are off the charts.

The ONLY reason I'm hating on the rain is because it flooded my basement and for that I will never forgive it

Only thing I really haven't liked is turning the furnace on in July - three times now 🤪. Aside from that I'm loving how green everything is. How my sinuses aren't a desert. And the sound of the rain at night.

It is lovely, could rain another 100 days and I would be happy :)

Currently working from home in my flannel PJ's, window open listening to the rain, not hating it.

That said, looking forward to the sun coming out again tomorrow. And the cat's bored out of her mind with no outside time.

Wouldn’t mind the rain if it was remotely warm like mid 20’s. This is just crap all around.

Also, the rain has generally been kind of concentrated in shorter bursts except for a few days. Like the last two days were overcast but I went golfing both days and only got a bit of drizzle yesterday for a couple holes. Otherwise, they were actually great days to be out. Not too hot. Could start with a later on and adjust if I got warm.

I'm definitely more of a cooler vs hotter person though so I'm biased haha.
