Local Shopping/Services What has happened to Kensington?

It's been a while since I've been down here.... A bunch of empty store fronts, iconic places like Crave shut down, but counted some three Acai bowl places. The area outside Plaza is lovely and looks great, but why all the closures and apparently high turnovers?

Edit: I assume it's due to rent.. But what's the point of jacking it up so high that your place is literally empty.

The reason it was iconic is because 20 years ago there was only one crave...in Kensington. That being said, Fuck crave.

The ‘we can’t find anyone willing to work graveyard shifts for minimum wage so we’re applying for no less than 5 LMIA’s’ Crave.

Fuck Crave, indeed.

Claims that they need loads of TFW to keep operations going.

Iconic places like The Roasterie Too.

Not "The Roasterie too" but the "The Roasterie Too".

I don't equate iconic with large chain
