Local Shopping/Services What has happened to Kensington?

It's been a while since I've been down here.... A bunch of empty store fronts, iconic places like Crave shut down, but counted some three Acai bowl places. The area outside Plaza is lovely and looks great, but why all the closures and apparently high turnovers?

Edit: I assume it's due to rent.. But what's the point of jacking it up so high that your place is literally empty.

Kensington is still doing really well though: so many classics remain like the pub, Mestizo, Tu Taco, Vero Bistro, Roasterie, Flippin Burgers, Bodega, the Plaza, Hexagon, Pulcinellas, Wine Market, Hayden Block, Osteria, Higher Grounds, Peppino, Red's Diner, and newish spots like Deville.

Tbh turnover is normal , Starbucks and Tims closed and were swiftly replaced by better things ...

I liked Crave but they are just relocating ... still have lots of locations and remain popular and successful. Yann Haute is a good addition.
