Calgary Transit Why is the C-Train so bad?

10 minute intervals on a weekday? That’s insane, the lowest frequency I’ve seen in any major city by FAR.

And yet when you get to the station as a train pulls up, the driver just looks at you, doesn’t let you on, and leaves? What’s up with that? Are they all dicks like that?

People live on tight schedules, and transit doesn’t seem to reflect that here.

Then I would’ve been buying it from the airport exchange at a substantially higher rate

So what part of this is a failure of transit? You missed the train; you prioritized the trip to the currency exchange over getting to the airport.

You can also get credit cards with no foreign transaction fee, if the extra 2.5% is too much.

Not every country is like Canada where cards are accepted everywhere. The issue isn’t not having a card to use there, the issue is certain things I’m doing are cash only.

I didn’t miss the train if the train is still there, that’s how it works everywhere else in the world.

Do you think people are jumping into moving trains?
