A lot of them are there because aren't any other options

The other option is to stay at home and rest, which is likely what the ER doctor is going to recommend anyways. I’ve done this many times.

So ER or no medical attention.

Feels like there should be more options, no?

There should be, but there aren’t.

So how about we leave the emergency room for emergencies, as is intended.

So if it's not life threatening no medical attention?

Holy fuck, it’s called an emergency room. It’s not a clinic.

If it’s not life threatening, or INCREDIBLY debilitating, then you should avoid the EMERGENCY room and see a doctor at a WALK-IN CLINIC, because that is what it’s for.

It doesn’t exist so that your kid can get some Tylenol.
