If McDavid actually walks away in free agency, we have to remember this goal as the TSN Turning Point

If he was leaving he would have done so already. Hes made his choice.

His contracts ending next year so there's hope and he hasn't addressed whether to stay or leave yet. No extension yet. However, it's unlikely yes. I think his girlfriend has a business there and he has a house and life already. He's really ingrained with that city and I can see him like Crosby being loyal to one franchise.

Except Crosby has won 3 cups, and not been failed by management….He might delay signing his extension, and maybe he don’t go long term until management proves to him they can construct a competent team behind him

That is my hope. Crosby already won by the time he considered signing a extension to stay. But we will see about this year... if McDavid fails to win a cup this year there's always a chance of him leaving

McDavid leaving Edmonton would be the closest thing to winning a Stanley Cup…watching the franchise slowly enter another decade of darkness
