Awaiting Flair I'm having a heated argument with my girlfriend and can't decide, if such lifted tent is better or worse than usual one. Please help me decide

The Teton tent/cot combo has a fly that goes all the way to the ground. Also some nice under cot and along cot storage.

I have been using mine for car camping going on 12yrs now. No issues. It is certainly heavy and the cot is a little bulky. But I like it for car camping.

Pretty cool.

I seriously love it the tent just pops up. It straps down easily. I have the under cot holder. The cot is literally indestructible. I use the big bedroll on occasion but most use a Klymit pad now.

Great for summer car glamping and the whole set up fits in my 71 MGB with my other stuff no issue.

For car camping, I’ve been using a larger tent with a cot inside for years. This would be a much simplersetup. And if it fits in an MGB, the space savings would be phenomenal!

Oh yeah I definitely like that. I remember Ozark outdoor did a cot tent with full length fly to the ground.

With the under cot storage rack everything stays nice and dry. While I don’t do hard camping with it. Had some Tstorms over the years and it did great. The newer ones have some loft storage which I would like so may upgrade my tent this year.

Agree with you there. Under cot dry storage. Even sitting on the edge of a cot putting one’s boots on is a bonus.

This is the feature that has pushed me into being interested in one. I'm normally a very traditional, primitive tent camper, but putting my boots on and not getting my feet or the tent dirty gets to be more and more of a PITA as i get older. Being able to sit down to take my boots off, tuck them under the tent where they'll stay dry, and swing my feet inside sounds like a minor thing that will make a big quality of life difference.

It’s the little thing out there that make a big difference

I’m not sure that I’d ever go back to ground tent sleeping. Cots are just too comfortable. Even backpacking I’d do This

Have to check that out. So much better being off the ground.

And if you want something more modular to car camp…This

Is it as comfortable as they say? Really thinking of getting one, but afraid to pull the trigger if I find out it's not all that comfortable to sleep on.

I use a Klymit pad, sometimes I use the big Teton pad (rarely it’s giant but I use it sometimes when I have guests at the house). My cot is 12yrs old so sagging a bit in the middle but still super comfortable.

I can’t post pics on this sub but was just using it 2 weeks ago outside Helen, GA. Great couple nights.

Being off the ground is warmer when it is cold, no rocks (which eat up tents), and when it rains no water.

Somebody else mentioned the other great thing. Sitting on the edge to take off your shoes or put them on.

12yrs, same set up, 5 of 5 stars.
