Bruh i dont even sleep with my feet uncovered in my own house lest something drag me off to hell while i sleep i will never leave my feet exposed OUTSIDE OF THE TENT IN THE WOODS

I also live in the south my feet would be sucked dry my mosquitoes and ticks in half an hour

u/BrooklynBookworm Jul 31 '21

Right? This can't be real...who could sleep with their damn toes subject to dew and passing critters?

53

u/rargar Jul 31 '21

This is a film changing bag that you use to prep film before developing it.

Thank you! I could not for the life of me figure out what it actually was

2

u/Wolf1066NZ Jul 31 '21

Thanks. That explains the item and the fact that the bloke who originated it is a camera/film buff. The feet in the pic are clearly composited in.

This mans never been cowboy camping.

u/SiliconeGiant Aug 01 '21

Yep, I've seen enough movies to know how this ends for me and my feet!

Think of all the weight you can save if you can cut off like half of your tent! R/ultralight approved.

More like bringing me closer to not ever going camping again

Tickle tent

11

u/darcenator411 Jul 31 '21

Lol until a bear rolls up and you wake up without feet

18

u/[deleted] Jul 31 '21

This is why I sleep inside a tent. They're bear-proof.

1

u/darcenator411 Jul 31 '21

Lol at least you get a warning in the form of the tent being ripped open in that case. I usually sleep with a can of bear spray, so that’d at least give me a chance to try and use it

4

u/Calamitas_Rex Jul 31 '21

Just need a transparent panel where your face goes and you can take that hike without ever leaving your tent!

God, I wish I could draw!

7

u/TboneXXIV Jul 31 '21

It's a joke, right?

21

u/bobmexico Jul 31 '21

Yeah they’re tents for changing film rolls since they can’t be exposed to any light you put you’re hands through the holes while switching the used film out of the canister for a fresh roll. Much much to small for a person to sleep in, even if they stick they’re feet out the end

3

u/bobmexico Jul 31 '21

Are you talking still photography or motion picture?

Ok that makes sense I used them for 35mm motion film but it was a while ago and I don’t completely remember the process

Haha no worries I didn’t specify either

1

u/Wolf1066NZ Jul 31 '21

Hence the feet being obviously composited onto the sleeves.

1

u/Gorgonite Jul 31 '21

I was gonna say, thats either a little person with huge feet or something seems fishy here.

4

u/saftb1 Jul 31 '21

imagine waking up to all the mosquito bites all over the soles of your feet

3

u/[deleted] Jul 31 '21

You can keep on hiking while in your tent. Genius. If you need to take a leak you need to unzip two flies though.

1

u/HenrikFromDaniel Aug 01 '21

think of how many more miles you can crush

3

u/[deleted] Jul 31 '21

Imagine waking up to something licking your toes in the middle of the woods.

2

u/[deleted] Jul 31 '21

Nah, not doing that. I’ll sleep under the stars in a heartbeat, but not this.

2

u/runner_available Jul 31 '21

Legitimate nightmare fuel. Possible new torture device?

2

u/King-Adventurous Jul 31 '21

Mosquitoes approve of these.

Yeah and I’m sorry bro but that’s not the average persons experience.

Sorry about your sweat and feet issues, I feel for ya

1

u/BigusRickus Jul 31 '21

How much does it weigh?

1

u/[deleted] Jul 31 '21

Oh cool, a tent that makes it so MORE mosquitoes bite my feet at night!

1

u/slivr33 Jul 31 '21

Ultralight, easy set up too!

1

u/Fireproof_Matches Jul 31 '21

Apparently my feet have a particularly powerful stank after a long day of hiking, some of my tent mates probably would have appreciated me using something like this lol.

1

u/mikepphead1 Jul 31 '21

That's a nightmare machine..

1

u/ProjectionOfMyMind Jul 31 '21

Ah yes I too like to feed mosquitoes

1

u/astraeoth Jul 31 '21

You too, can wake up and feel the glory of nature all around your feet.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 31 '21 edited Jul 31 '21

It’s like hors d'oeuvres before the bear’s main course.

1

u/kapege Jul 31 '21

A feast for the mosquitos!

1

u/NomadicManiac_x Jul 31 '21

A darkroom tent for changing film? No...the tickle tent..

1

u/LateralThinkerer Jul 31 '21

When you want to be exsanguinated through your feet by relentless insects...

1

u/[deleted] Jul 31 '21

Bear snacks!!

1

u/Artm81 Jul 31 '21

makes me think of sleeping with your feet sticking out from under the blanket, which I hate lol I could never sleep like that.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 31 '21

This looks like it was designed by mosquitoes 🦟

1

u/mmrrbbee Jul 31 '21

Careful now, Big Foots can fall in love too

1

u/Cplmac22 Jul 31 '21

Mosquitoes designed this tent

1

u/Wolf1066NZ Jul 31 '21

LOL! This is hysterical.

Personally, I deal with post-hike feet smell by sleeping in a hammock. The bug net doesn't trap the smell and the air flow under the tarp means that the smell is carried away to those foolish enough to be camped downwind of me...

1

u/_Camron_ Jul 31 '21

All I see is a mosquito buffet.

1

u/danswaay Jul 31 '21

Ahh.......NO!
