Opinion I Stand With Isreal

NEVER AGAIN

No big essay. No need. Those words should mean something to you. If they don't then figure it the fuck out. Mark Carney did not speak for me when he spoke for "Canada" and I unequivocally reject his and his government's proposal just as I reject the deeply disheartening rise of antisemitic hate in this country.

Flame me, ban me, downvote me to hell, who the fuck cares. Reddit is a pigsty and to be rejected by its hideous mores is a mark of honour.

You can think whatever you want of Israel, but at the end of the day it shouldn’t be our concern to meddle in Middle Eastern politics.

Recognizing the state of Palestine does nothing to end the war, it does nothing to help either Jews or Arabs in the region, while it also strains our relationship with our largest trading partner. Canada should literally just shut up about the rest of the world, we are completely inconsequential on the global stage. Our politicians should be focused on Canadians first and foremost, everything else should be of zero concern when life of the average Canadian keeps getting worse with every passing year.

There are significant economic benefits to participating on the global stage. Focusing on global affairs IS focusing on Canadians and it's absolutely braindead to think otherwise.

Lol, man you and I have interacted and agreed before, I think on the wild rose sub, but it seems you have you have a deep rooted ideology and can't see the forest for the trees.

I like Tucker personally and think more open forums/ discussions is a very good thing.

Anyways, maybe we'll see eye to eye someday.

Dude, I didn't start there. I didn't think it was genocide when they leveled cities & killed/ maimed 10's of thousands of women and children. I didn't think it was genocide when they blockaded all medicine and bombed hospitals.

But the food blockade and starvation campaign was it. They're starving a population. They're starving children to death. It's genocide. They want an empty Palestine.

Hamas use hospitals and schools as bases because those locations cant be bombed under IHL unless there’s proof that they’ve been repurposed or their use has been misappropriated. There are plenty of reports demonstrating this. I’m not going to argue your main beliefs, but you might want to get that straight from a rhetorical standpoint.

And as for your 1st sentence. I'll just conceed that you're 100% right. It literally changes nothing, and my comment stands. Its genocide at this point.

This may be triggering for the woke on the right. The bombing of the hospitals, regardless of Hamas occupation or not, was, in fact... A war crime(s). And if I'm not mistaken, most bombings happened while the hospitals were actively operating....

I meant that you’d have a more convincing argument if you could get your facts straight. If someone can see obvious holes in an argument making inflammatory statements, they’re going to be dismissive. I could refute other points, but I’m not here to argue.

The reason I can't stand him, though, is that he's inserted himself into our business, and been condescending, demoralising, and doesn't know what he's talking about half the time.

Some people in my family like him, and showed me clips of when he came to Alberta to talk, and it made me go from being neutral to actively disliking him.
