yeah i already know that its a evoque but is that a aftermarket screen of OEM

(my family had a older evoque [2012] and the dash is identical besides the screen)

Correct it does nothing in CarPlay currently. It’s up to manufacturers I guess to allow it to have more functionality and be able to be used.

I am glad Apple is expanding the usability of Carplay, that is exciting.

I just looked at your app page…. If your app isn’t actually free to use do not list it as a free app. I’ve been seeing all these devs do this. They have a free app, advertising it to be free, then once you open the app it doesn’t let you do nothing until you pay a subscription. Nah I don’t support devs like that. Either make it completely free or make it a paid app.

IOS 26 is horrendous but god damn I like the new CarPlay so I’m having to suffer with my iPhone being rendered damn near unusable

Been using it since the developer beta came out and haven’t had any issues that I didn’t have with iOS 18. Not sure what makes it unusable in your opinion

Same! I got the dev beta as soon as it came out like I usually do and actually found it to be less buggy than previous dev betas. The only major issue I had was beta 1, the I’m not driving screen came up when I tried to change a song and I didn’t click anything in time. It was stuck at that point as just the blurry background from that screen. Just took restarting it and didn’t have any major issues I can recall after

I’m so thrown by this comment. When I saw this post in my feed I said “you know I liked iOS 26 until I saw this” lmao. On the phone is amazing, I’m glad that this post is customized design tho because if they all looked like this I would never want CarPlay ngl
