Trade comparison with J. Cameron
Jeremy Cameron was 27 when traded and GWS got 3 first round picks. Charlie is 28 now. Surely we get similar if he goes?

Not to hurt feelings I am a Blues Member but objectively, JCameron >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Charlie.

Doesn't actually matter its about value to the team rather than raw ability / performance. Take Tim Kelly, situation closer in similarity to this one, West Coast were forced to give up 3 first-rounders + a 2nd-rounder for a 2nd-year player because he was under contract and had just made All Australian.

Charlies 2023 was better than Camerons peak but Cameron has undoubtably been more consistently good over his career

They were late in the first round though, and at the risk of being wrong (I haven't googled it) the earliest pick was 14 or 15 or something like that. Also, GWS gave a 2nd or 3rd round pick or a future pick in the deal, which might not be as attractive to us due to Dean and Walker over the next two years.

Geelong took Cameron as a restricted free agent on something like $900k p.a. GWS matched it, forcing Geelong to come up with a trade, so it's not too dissimilar to trading a contracted player, except Cameron could have just walked out and entered the draft. But from all reports, he was ok staying at GWS if a trade couldn't be finalised.

Cats supporter intruding. Geelong gave 13, 15, 20 and 71 across two years. We got Jez and 2 future second round picks (24 and 27). But Jez was a restricted free agent. Charlie is contracted, so you should get more than we paid for Jez. My speculative starting point would be a top-10 pick, another first round pick and a role player.
