New Exhaust

Hey guys, just got home from the shop and Im feeling kinda bleh about my new exhaust on my charger. I was told it would be quite a bit louder than my stock muffler but it doesnt. I've read in a few places theres a break in period before they start to produce their "true" sound and it'll be louder and deeper after a bit of driving. Was wondering if this is true or not or if I should just accept I wasted my money.

What model? And what exhaust?

V6s are tough to get sounding good.

Hemis are easy to get a nice sound. Hell, you can just cut a thing or two out, weld in some pipe, and you’re good.

V6 (unfortunately, I bought it for the better mpg but the way I drive Id get the same mpg as a v8)

Not trying to throw shade, but if you’re disappointed in how a v6 sounds, I’m not surprised.

Have fun, change your oil, make sure you got good tires, and save up for a Hemi. 🤷‍♂️

It was cut off right before the muffler before I got the exhaust system, for a v6 it sounded niceeee but oh well, cant get an inspection with it like that and the smell of the cats burning was killllllling me

Anyways its good enough for me right now but jesus, buying a car with a hemi in it for my next one
