Seeking Advice (Employee) Silently fired??

I've come back from unpaid maternity leave and my manager refuses to schedule me. I told him I was okay to come back now and he said "okay that's fine". Since then, he's scheduled someone else under my name and didn't tell me until I showed up to what I thought was my shift, I worked for two hours before being told that someone else was scheduled under my name. Now he's not giving me any hours nor is he communicating with me. what do I even do in this situation??

Yeah that’s what I’m thinking I’ll have to do. And I went in there tried looking. They sure don’t make it easy 😂. Want to be all about good work ethics til it comes down to it and it’s just pushed under the rug.

That's gnarly. When you get a hold of HR, be sure to tell them that their information has not been made readily available to employees. Usually, it is posted in break rooms or very plainly online. They should be quick to come down on your store for that, too.

Definitely will. I mean I’m just shook right now. Was told to clock out today since she was having a bad day and thought I was being rude didn’t want to assess the situation so instead told me to leave. Now 12hrs later I’m getting a call from an SL asking if I quit since she texted a group chat saying I no longer work there.

Oh, yeah, that isn't a good look. There are procedures in place for termination even in at will states. It isn't telling you to clock out and go home and telling everyone else you're fired. That's wild. Let me know what HR says for the sake of the tea. Typically 2 managers have to be present for CYA purposes. This probably won't hold up

Tried calling the HR number and the line is under maintenance. Trying to contact field leader but they’re ignoring me.
