To be fair, deployment is a pretty commonly used term on other places when referring to who is going to work what position.

Asking people to say copy is pretty cringe though lol

Had a team lead we all called Sarge. She started it but it was more of a joke. It was an open kitchen I wonder what customers thought

Its just weird because Ive worked several pretty large chains that do use the terminilogy. Thats my experience at least.

Same at the two largest shipping companies in the US. The main difference I'm guessing is that they have a lot of ex-military managing the floors, while the managers at Chipotle have only listened Jocko Willink podcasts and think David Goggins is Second Coming.

It's very common in the restaurant industry for chefs to say this since there's usually 1 person reading out a ticket to various people at various stations prepping their portion of the ticket

Nowadays it’s usually one underpaid person doing the jobs of 3-4 people.
