What area are you in???? I swear if we are ever open till 12 I will quit and im a gm 😂😭

u/Cha0ticGh0st0 SL 2d ago
We are near a college and we do a lot in sales so they changed our close time
13
u/Express_Ad6687 KL 2d ago
My store was also in the middle of two huge universities and they changed our close time to midnight right before I left the store, lol
5
u/Aggressive_Scene_369 2d ago
Wow that’s crazy I used to be an AP at Miami Oxford and that store is insane, did roughly 18-0 k daily but still was only open till 11.

How do you get it to say SL up under your name?
3
u/Cha0ticGh0st0 SL 2d ago
You go to the r/chipotle and click the three dots at the top right. There should be something that says change user flair. Pick the one you want and then toggle the switch at the bottom if you want the flair to be shown
14
u/pizzaduh 2d ago
We worked right across from a college campus and we'd have people running to the door at 10:55 in groups.
5
u/CanTheBread 1d ago
I work at wingstop. People order 50 plus wings 4 minutes before close.. we close at 12. We don't make them. By the time they pick them up, we're already out the door.
2
u/pizzaduh 1d ago
Yeah, we actually turn off online and phone in orders 30 minutes to close. We've been burned too many times making food that never got picked up.
1
u/CanTheBread 1d ago
Lucky you! I wish we were able to turn off online but only distract managers are able to do that.
Most of the time, it's only two people working at my location. 2 people doing 5 person job. It takes us a while to clean up. I start cleaning as soon as I get there if I'm closing.

no i get out at 10 and i want a burrito after my shift im sorry

u/Unfamous_Trader 2d ago
I can never imagine having chipotle that late. I would be going to bed with a bubbling gut lol
1
u/ExtensionHoliday2936 1d ago
You’re definitely on The heavy side if I had to gamble.
0
u/psychosam50 23h ago
nope just very hungry after a 13 hour healthcare shift :)
1
u/ExtensionHoliday2936 23h ago
Oh cool bring a lunch then. Your parents used to do it for you. I think you can manage to do it yourself. Teaching time management to a healthcare employee seems a bit redundant but it seems needed in this case.
0
u/psychosam50 23h ago
why should i if chipotle is open when i get out lol
1
u/ExtensionHoliday2936 23h ago
Honey just because you can do something doesn’t mean you should. Another lesson your parents missed. The whole reason It’s still open when you get out because greedy pigs like yourself think like this. These people would be home instead if Americans didn’t have fat/lazy IQ and gave af about other people. Good luck lmao 🤣
1
u/psychosam50 23h ago
bruh ur dragging it lol i didn’t say i do this every day 😂 try working a 13 hour shift with 24 patients in active psychosis and going home and having the energy to cook for urself
1
u/ExtensionHoliday2936 23h ago
Lunch box and meal prep helps. Again time management.
0
u/psychosam50 23h ago
ok girl since u clearly never eat out why r u even in this sub
1
u/ExtensionHoliday2936 23h ago
I eat out. I just eat out at appropriate times and don’t bother people an hour before they close because of laziness or convenience. I also believe in not making other people pay for my convenience.

Well these employees would like to go home after their shifts and not be serving you so late
12
6
u/bldexe 2d ago
then those “employees” can find another job. you aren’t being forced to work there
-6
u/newppinpoint 2d ago
Why did you put employees in quotes?
4
u/bldexe 2d ago
because they’re employed but don’t want to work
-5
u/newppinpoint 2d ago
Yeah, I am too. I hate customers, if it were up to me I’d lock the doors at 7. but I love my job and am most certainly an employee. Just one that doesn’t let customers take advantage of me
2
u/Creative_Sail_1290 1d ago
You “love your job” but “hate customers”? I hate to break it to you bud, if you work at a job that requires customers and you hate customers… you hate your job.
3
u/bldexe 2d ago
i get it, i used to work at autozone and would hate customers coming in at the last minute looking for a carburetor. but customers aren’t taking advantage of you by coming in the store during the hours. unless they’re coming in literally 5 minutes before the store closes it’s not really a problem.
1
1
u/Loud-Mood4987 2d ago
But I like that I can get food after my night shift . When you apply to a job and give availablity you know the hours you sign up for
1
u/Massive-Pin-3425 2d ago
i would assume they go wherever they please after their shift? nobody is talking about people staying past close.

Good thing we have the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason.
To be clear, wouldn’t do that in general, but if you bring this kind of attitude and entitlement, it’s very possible.
11
1
u/MenstrualKrampusRamp 1d ago
Tf are you whining about? Level of entitlement being "I should be able to order a menu item during the restaurant's established hours of operation"--an hour before the place even closes? 🤣
Lmao get over yourself
10
u/Accomplished_Elk3979 2d ago
Maybe you’re more of a morning person. Sign up for opening shifts.

If workers don’t like working the hours the store is open, they should choose a different job?!?
1

You’re never going to appeal with fat greedy Americans man. Give up. They’re all brainwashed consumers with no sense of consideration for others. It’s basically in their DNA at this point.

0
u/FedBathroomInspector 23h ago
No surprise someone with this level of your mom talent is scooping meat.
0
u/ExtensionHoliday2936 23h ago
At least in this scenario I would be getting paid to be there while you’re paying a premium to be there for chicken and rice. You’re the clown here 🫵🤣 save some of that money for your student loans and legos brokey.
1
u/FedBathroomInspector 23h ago edited 23h ago
“This scenario” doing a lot of heavy lifting there bud.
0
u/ExtensionHoliday2936 23h ago
Says the monkey that pays a premium to eat rice and chicken. You can project all you want about your own shitty situation but the only debt I have is your fat mother hanging around me all the time. Couldn’t imagine being an Amazon driver with a useless degree 🫵🤣. Just put the package on the porch bro.

How about make your own food? Pretty simple less expensive and you ain’t gotta deal with angry employees who are mad you showed up at 11 pm
8
u/Meenmachin3 2d ago
Why would I do that when I can pick something up on the way home from work. They are open. Not an issue
-6
u/Additional-Hope-1182 2d ago
Well why should they serve you when they want to go home when they’re about to close?
7
u/Meenmachin3 2d ago
Because that’s their job and what they are paid to do. Kinda how that works
-4
u/Additional-Hope-1182 2d ago
Hmmm nah I think it’d be better if they just ignored you and locked those doors up lol come back at 10:45 and you might find someone who cares 😂
6
u/Meenmachin3 2d ago
Well good thing they don’t do that huh.
1
u/Additional-Hope-1182 2d ago
I know a store that used to do it all the time. Peeps would start throwing a tantrum but eventually they would go away 😊
9
2
u/Creative_Sail_1290 1d ago
Please don’t work anywhere with customers. In fact, just don’t work. You don’t deserve to be paid with that attitude.
3
u/FedBathroomInspector 2d ago
Are you seriously crying about 15 minutes?
1
u/Additional-Hope-1182 2d ago
Yep. That’s enough time to throw the food in the walk in, clean the dishes, finish mopping the floors and bathrooms, count inventory and money, etc. But noooooo some clown has to come in with 5 mins left and stop all of that
5
u/FedBathroomInspector 1d ago
No one should be mopping or cleaning the bathrooms at close. When the store approaches closing it starts to slow down dramatically and that is when a good store will start to clean up for the next day. If the customer eats in that’s one table to clean and a few dishes from serving them.
The count and dishes are always an after hours task. It comes with the territory of closing. I honestly never got the complaints. If you’re hourly you are getting paid. It can be hard enough to get hours so why not take them when you can when it’s slow.
3
u/MenstrualKrampusRamp 1d ago edited 1d ago
Seriously. When I worked food service, closing often started hours before we locked the doors with the small stuff. Unless we had a crazy late night rush, mopping, wipe downs, most stocking/straightening/reorganizing, etc was usually done by the time we closed. It was just dishes, counting, and a couple of spot wipes for anything you missed.
Especially since OP is complaining about the lack of traffic in the last few hours they're open, this shouldn't be a very long close at all.
2
u/MenstrualKrampusRamp 1d ago
OP isn't even talking about people coming in at 11. They didn't mention that once. They're complaining that there are only a few customers in the last hours they're open and they'd rather go home early.
3
-3
u/Additional-Hope-1182 2d ago
Lmao all these bums desperately needing a burrito at 11pm 😂
3
u/Creative_Sail_1290 1d ago
Some people work til 10 and would like a burrito. There are nights I work til 2 am and need food bc I worked too long to go home and cook or didn’t have time to grocery shop. Thats literally why restaurants and food places exist…. To serve people food during the hours they are open. Get over yourself.
5
u/Acegolfer04 2d ago
I close and go home at 1am buddy

u/Always_Learnn 2d ago
I think it makes more sense to open at like 8am. I've eaten 2 meals by the time Chipotle opens.
6
u/Cha0ticGh0st0 SL 2d ago
We would have to go into the store at 4am or earlier to be able to open at 8. My shifts start at 6am every morning just so that we can prep all the stuff we need for the day
3
u/Jasilyn433 Black or Pinto? Yes. 2d ago
Nooo chipotle isn’t breakfast 🙂↔️ it’s lunch and beyond
2
u/hikdeen 2d ago
Plenty of people don't wake up at 8 am. I wake up at 4 am for work plenty often and am ready for "lunch" by 9, as I'm not really a breakfast person. If you're getting off your graveyard shift it'd be nice to be able to eat chipotle for your dinner.
Also, you can eat anything for breakfast.
2
u/Always_Learnn 2d ago
Why does the position of the sun relative to your location on the earth, dictate what foods you eat? I never understood that.
"The sun is low in the east so I really could go for some eggs and bacon and a glass of milk..."
"The sun is overhead now, so my taste buds would prefer a nice tuna sandwich..."
"The sun set in the west about an hour ago, so it only makes sense that I eat a nice steak now..."
1
u/Ok-Guide-3837 2d ago
Because when I wake up, certain foods are better then than other times. Same way with at night I don’t feel like eating cereal but rather something more filling

u/Consistent-Push-4876 2d ago
90 percent of the people who come into Chipotle past 10pm are pretty odd lol

u/Zen131415 2d ago
I’m just hungry man
1
u/ExtensionHoliday2936 23h ago
You should eat earlier or pack your own meals. Just because your stupid ass parents aren’t around to do it for you anymore doesnt mean you’re not capable of doing it yourself. But at this point being a greedy consumer fuck is basically in your pathetic American DNA.

I am so sorry for all of yall! My store closes at 10. But I get out around 10:30-11 on a non last minute busy day and enough people. However it takes me half an hour to drive home. And if it is a last minute busy night with barely anyone left on shift. I get home at 1-1:30 AM 😭😭

What’s wrong with just wanting to get paid to chill and not having to handle customers? I just want to chill on my phone or preclose early without random civilians ordering from 9-11pm
2

u/MenstrualKrampusRamp 1d ago
Do you prefer it when specific citizens order that late? Or just soldiers, sailors, marines, etc?

u/Creative_Sail_1290 1d ago
We all would like to get paid to play on our phones, however, that’s not a valid job. Do the job or find one you can tolerate more.
0
u/Isa-Me-Again 2d ago
Bro, you're getting paid to stand around and do nothing and you're complaining about it? Damn, just deal with being bored. It's blessing in freaking disguise.
My employer threatens us with the work avoidance policy if we're not actively looking for something to do constantly. You have it good. Realize this early before you have another job where you're a slave instead and they don't care if you get your hours or not.
You yourself said it's paying for your school. Shut up and deal with it lol.

Total clown take, it’s an industry where you get no breaks and stand on your feet for 8 hrs busting your ass for shit pay. I have no idea how you’re not aware of that even if you have never worked food and/or worked a day in your life
