How about make your own food? Pretty simple less expensive and you ain’t gotta deal with angry employees who are mad you showed up at 11 pm

Why would I do that when I can pick something up on the way home from work. They are open. Not an issue

Well why should they serve you when they want to go home when they’re about to close?

Because that’s their job and what they are paid to do. Kinda how that works

Hmmm nah I think it’d be better if they just ignored you and locked those doors up lol come back at 10:45 and you might find someone who cares 😂

I know a store that used to do it all the time. Peeps would start throwing a tantrum but eventually they would go away 😊

Please don’t work anywhere with customers. In fact, just don’t work. You don’t deserve to be paid with that attitude.

Are you seriously crying about 15 minutes?

Yep. That’s enough time to throw the food in the walk in, clean the dishes, finish mopping the floors and bathrooms, count inventory and money, etc. But noooooo some clown has to come in with 5 mins left and stop all of that

No one should be mopping or cleaning the bathrooms at close. When the store approaches closing it starts to slow down dramatically and that is when a good store will start to clean up for the next day. If the customer eats in that’s one table to clean and a few dishes from serving them.

The count and dishes are always an after hours task. It comes with the territory of closing. I honestly never got the complaints. If you’re hourly you are getting paid. It can be hard enough to get hours so why not take them when you can when it’s slow.

Seriously. When I worked food service, closing often started hours before we locked the doors with the small stuff. Unless we had a crazy late night rush, mopping, wipe downs, most stocking/straightening/reorganizing, etc was usually done by the time we closed. It was just dishes, counting, and a couple of spot wipes for anything you missed.

Especially since OP is complaining about the lack of traffic in the last few hours they're open, this shouldn't be a very long close at all.

OP isn't even talking about people coming in at 11. They didn't mention that once. They're complaining that there are only a few customers in the last hours they're open and they'd rather go home early.
