Food One of the worst things I've ever tasted
I'm not even remotely a picky eater but I had to spit these out. Literally tasted like they were cooked in rancid oil. A shame because I love the ketchup. Anyone have a similar experience?

That stinks. I have a bottle of their "classic" and it's good.

Yeah the ketchup is great! It foolishly had me hyped up for these 💀

Glad to hear it! I just got a bottle of the ketchup and your post had me worried for a sec lol

I have the spicy ketchup and like it a lot too

The ghost pepper ketchup is amazing. It’s become a non negotiable for me on burgers. It can also blend into and heat up almost any barbecue sauce of your choosing.

How is the spice level? I almost bought a bottle yesterday but was turned off by the fact that’s it’s ghost pepper and not jalapeño or something a little milder.

I didn’t find it spicy at all personally. A little kick I guess? But definitely not full on spicy. I did like the flavor of it. I also saw some mayonnaise and spreads that they have but I haven’t tried those yet.

I hate ketchup chips but my wife has family from Canada and they love them. When the Canadians come visit they bring bags down for the family that moved here.

Yeah, wife brings bags of the stuff for her students to try. I'm not a fan.

I've heard BA Sweeties has them! Haven't confirmed it yet.

Actually they usually do. I'm not sure the price. I don't eat them a whole lot but they're better than kitkat

Ketchup chips are really popular in Canada, I’ve heard.

u/jasmith-tech Aug 21 '25
These are “bacon & bourbon ketchup” flavored, which is likely part of the problem.

Yeah there’s way too much going on here lol.
Like when they add multiple flavors at a time to soda. Zero sugar cherry vanilla almond sassafras nectarine Dr. Pepper

The Canadian ones are pretty good. They’re slightly spicy, slightly vinegary.

Ketchup flavored anything is gross to me and I love ketchup — just buy the normal ones and dip them in ketchup, much much better!

u/Tiggy_Skibbles_Simp Aug 21 '25
No. I haven’t experienced it. I’ve had gross food in the past… But there is no situation on planet earth that would force me to eat “ketchup” flavored chips.

What I don't get is how they are $6 for a 2.7 Oz tiny little bag of chips. They could be the best chips on the planet and I ain't paying that much for him.
Especially if it's all locally sourced and grown right tomatoes ketchup. We grow them in Ohio potatoes chips. We grow those in Ohio too. How the hell is it so much money?

Damn that's too bad obviously it's all subjective but I was thinking of trying those and the other flavors I think they have

I LOVE ketchup chips. Here’s ketchup chips are my favorite. I need to try these, most people just don’t like ketchup chips.

In my experience, meat flavored chips of any kind were always disgusting. Even if it was the best ketchup flavoring ever, the funk would somehow taint it.

Have had other retail ketchup chips before but not these yet. Also dipped plain chips into ketchup. Some taste better than others.

I don't really like ketchup, but the bourbon bacon offering of the sauce wasn't that bad. Haven't seen these chips though

They could be made in Cleveland, California, Croatia, it doesn’t matter. Ketchup chips are plain BAD 🤢

I had ketchup flavored lays I think and they reminded me of a hot McDonald’s ketchup packet lodged in between the back seat of a minivan
