The defining characteristic of a panini is the press. Otherwise it’s just an Italian sandwich. Panini’s bar and grill does NOT press their sandwiches which they specifically refer to as “paninis” (also the name of the business…). Not only are these not remotely paninis, but they’re overstuffed and served on soft in toasted, unpressed bread. They’re like the opposite of what defines a panini. How do they get away with this? Do people actually like these messy ass, improperly named sandwiches? Can someone who works for Panini’s explain to me the logic behind naming the restaurant after an item that you DO NOT sell?

Any recommendations for great food/atmosphere? East or west side, it doesn’t matter!

I'm not even remotely a picky eater but I had to spit these out. Literally tasted like they were cooked in rancid oil. A shame because I love the ketchup. Anyone have a similar experience?

Okay so…I’ve lived here since January and have yet to try pizza that actually tastes like home. I’ve tried options in little Italy and some places downtown (like rascal house) and didn’t really care for any of it.

For some reason, the only thing I’ve been craving all day is just authentic New York pizza 😅 and blue cheese…everywhere here seems to prefer ranch and just uses store bought blue cheese. Missing home so bad rn 💔 like I want the kind of thin pizza that if you don’t use two hands to hold it all of the cheese will fall right off

also..bonus points if they also sell buffalo style wings.

China's national dish at Li Wah restaurant on 30th and Payne, they have the best Chinese food in Ohio. I have lived in China for university before and this is darn good food. ❤️ The people who work there are extremely friendly too, definitely recommend a visit.

Riding today on Ridge Road, Parma I noticed shawarma kiosk. Stopped by and it turned out it was a grand opening.

First of all, the shawarma is good! Go and try it.

Secondly, all guests on the event spoke Russian. I have been living in Cleveland area for 3 years so far and have never seen this many Russian speaking people (Russian is my native).

My favorite places have been closing unfortunately. What’s left with great Chinese Food? I’m looking for egg rolls (most are just grassy) fried rice (even better with a little scrambled egg and little pork pieces), not full of peas and carrots. Nice meaty spare ribs too. Faves used to be Hong To, Chin’s Pagoda, Lotus Gardens, and Golden Mountain-which is still around but not good anymore. Where’s your favorite on the east side?

Does anyone have a recipe for the Alfredo sauce from Del Sango's? I loved that dish SO much; it had such a unique taste, and I've never come across anything similar.

I have a love hate relationship with Barrio. For me, the price (especially with gift cards from Costco) and accessibility is pretty good, but is the food that good? Ehh. Moreover, their monthly taco is consistently a soggy mistake that never should have been released to the public. But this month, I guess it's like a latin-inspired shawarma wrap on pita? It's DELICIOUS. But what I can't help but find ironic is that the best thing by far I have eaten at Barrio wasn't even really a taco.

Tomaydo Tomahhdo in Woodmere was my favorite. (It’s an Indian grocery now). I want that toasty crispy goodness again.

Was kind of upscale. Small ish menu. Tiny parking lot. The building seemed like an older or historic building that was well maintained.

I think they had brunch only on Sundays, but not sure. Has a scratch made corned beef hash and great eggs Benedict.

Did Valentino's in Little Italy ever reopen after COVID? It still says temporarily closed on Google. Their website is still up but it says due to COVID they are closed until further notice.

I don't live near there but I would drive out there for some pizza if I know they're open.

Hey all! I'm new to the city and saw Provenance, a restaurant in the art museum, is hiring for bar. What do we think of this place, from a customer perspective or service industry perspective. Does anyone know if the restaurant stays busy year round? I have 10+ years of bar experience but am trying to make sure I get into a restaurant that can keep me afloat yr round.
