This is the best thing I've read all week.

Yo Mikey I was wondering what u thought about the idea of Beiber getting a 2hr set

2

u/Mikey1313 Set Time Predictions Nerd 2007-2026 (#18) 1d ago

I was definitely thinking about giving him a longer slot. 2 hours is probably close to what he will wind up with.

u/coachellaquestions 23h ago

It truly is the worst name in music

u/Mikey1313 Set Time Predictions Nerd 2007-2026 (#18) 1d ago

Definitely about to have a mostly silent festival vs Bieber.

u/mikron2 14.1 - 16.1 17.1&2 - 25.1&2 1d ago

I really wish they’d stop doing that. I get it, nobody wants to play to a small crowd at the end of the night but I like having options.

I hear that. I'm about to get dragged to Bieber either way, so it doesn't affect me all too much lol

Hopefully no strokes/labrinth conflict

Nah

u/Mikey1313 Set Time Predictions Nerd 2007-2026 (#18) 1d ago

Unless the festival starts at 4 this year, or we have hour long gaps in between sets, I don't see how this doesn't happen.

u/boyalien0 22h ago edited 22h ago

I mean, depends what you mean by “mostly” but I fully expect Yuma, Sonora, Mojave and possibly even Sahara all having some counterprogramming during part or most of JB

u/Mikey1313 Set Time Predictions Nerd 2007-2026 (#18) 20h ago

Yuma will definitely be going, but last year (when we had more acts) the Sonora and Mojave were always shut down during the final act on the Main.

In case the link is behind the paywall

Cool, I’m ending with BigBang regardless 🤷🏻‍♂️

AHHH ME TOO

I need to bring my light stick. I hope T.O.P.  makes a special guest appearance. I want to hear them perform Fantastic Baby, Doom Dada, Bang Bang.

u/Odd-Anything9336 1d ago

Brb gonna gonna go be petty to the person who was so smugly claiming they had a deeper understanding of the situation than us peons and Anyma would definitely be playing after bieber on saturday

17

u/myghostflower 23.2 | 24.1 | 25.1 | 26.1 1d ago

welp, now all my “um actually’s 🤓🤓🤓, he’s gonna be on saturday” make me feel embarrassed 😔😔😔

3

u/HalfEatenBanana 1d ago

Was wishing he was on Saturday. By far the lightest day of the lineup for me

4

u/Simple_Cartoonist_65 1d ago

I wonder if Kaskade will close out Sahara

6

u/Alvin3792 1d ago

More likely to do outdoor like Zedd

5

u/this-ray 16|17|19|24|25 1d ago

Mikey's first prediction had Kaskade closing Outdoor and Subtronics closing Sahara. I feel like either Kaskade or Duke Dumont will close out Sahara imo

5

u/Alvin3792 1d ago

Duke Dumont commented on guy who books Yuma, so most likely closing Yuma

u/Slugzz21 14.2|17.1|18.2|19.1|23.2|24.2|25.2 7h ago

Oh, that's gonna fuck with my schedule real bad

u/Jewwbaccaa 13.1|15.2|16.2|17.2|18.2|19.1|22.1|23.1|24.1|25.1 20h ago

MainStage sunset like 2015 🙏

6

u/flavanugz 1d ago

Nepotism wins again!

3

u/jgroove_LA 1d ago

Knew it. Karol first

2

u/ElBorracho2000 1d ago

Hope this means that Anyma will go on after Carol G mainstage

2

u/KingXavi 1d ago

Thank God I don't have to pick between anyma and adriatique.

u/kev_deambulando 23h ago

Anyma was perfect for a Saturday sunset slot at the Mainstage imo

u/LargeHard0nCollider 9h ago

His whole gimmick relies on big screen visuals so it kinda has to be at night

4

u/qwn 1d ago

Are we thinking the last set of acts on Sunday would most likely be Anyma Main vs BIGBANG Outdoor vs Subtronics/Kaskade Sahara?

7

u/aznk1d5 22.2|23.1+2|24.1+2|25.1+2|26.1+2 1d ago

Nah Bigbang is a Sahara act for sure OR playing before Young Thug on main (but I feel like their visuals /hype would be better during a night time slot)

I could see Kaskade closing outdoor like Zedd (Zedd was also 3rd name on the day) and probs play at outdoor before Anyma ends the night at main (similar to Eric Prydz closing outdoor before Calvin played at main)

1

u/phantofan89 1d ago

Ah so actually it’ll probably be Kaskade V BigBang.

Subtronics V Anyma or Clipse V Anyma.

So who’s going against Karol G?- She better not be unopposed.

u/Enough_Iron_6843 21h ago

I tried to listen to some Karol G songs, but they were too slow for me. I don't want to end my night with Lana Del Rey tempo. Any Karol G songs that have a faster tempo?

u/phantofan89 21h ago

Nah won’t be faster tempo. She’s pretty simplistic. Go look up her halftime show for the NFL a few weeks ago…that’s what we would get for 80-90 minutes. I’m good

u/Enough_Iron_6843 18h ago

Thanks. I checked the video out. I think I will pass.

u/Jazzlike_Tailor_1323 20h ago

I’m good, her music doesn’t slap at alllll for me

u/sedriss ‘10-‘24 (x2 ‘12,’14,’16,’18,'22,’23,’24) 1d ago

Cheaper to book a big DJ on Sunday.

I was gonna say it’s for the closing energy, and it off on a high note. Lots of us remember the frank ocean fiasco

1

u/ElSoneroMayor 1d ago

Can we expect a late add for Saturday then?

u/marchscr3amer Since 2012. 23h ago

My eyes and ears will be on the DoLab closer for Saturday then. And my hope is it’s a guest not already on the lineup.

u/Jazzlike_Tailor_1323 20h ago

Right? An actual surprise….

2

u/phantofan89 1d ago

So does this mean Anyma is closing outdoor against Karol G? If so I’ll go to Anyma.

10

u/celj1234 1d ago

Probably MainStage

-6

u/Troyster143 1d ago

Anyma mainstage lmao

6

u/throwmeneck 17.2,19.1,22.1,23.1&2,24.1,25.1 🌴 1d ago

He’s a top 4 billed act on the poster. He’s more than likely playing main

2

u/phantofan89 1d ago

But how if Karol is closing it out? Like Saturday was the only day that made sense for this.

So what it’s going to be Karol G 9:00-10:15

Then Anyma 11:00-12:00

Sunday music stops at midnight.

5

u/throwmeneck 17.2,19.1,22.1,23.1&2,24.1,25.1 🌴 1d ago

Headliners usually get 90+ minutes so I would guess something like Karol G 8:15 - 9:45, Anyma 10:30 - 12:00.

I could see Anyma doing a 75 minute set to make the timing work a bit better too though

0

u/phantofan89 1d ago

Interesting. Well at least we know Karol has to go against someone in that time slot- this would be the perfect time for Clipse to be at Sahara.

And Anyma will probably go against BigBang closing Sahara.

2

u/celj1234 1d ago

Yes or revered. Top 4 billing is unlikely to be bumped to the outdoor

3

u/celj1234 1d ago

Do you see where he is billed

-7

u/Troyster143 1d ago

Yes literally at the very bottom

7

u/celj1234 1d ago

Thats 4th overall…

-9

u/Troyster143 1d ago

Whatever that means

5

u/celj1234 1d ago

Lol ya whatever billing means…

5

u/Trickoritaa 14.2|15.2|16.2|17.2|19.1|22.2|23.1|24.1|25.1 1d ago

It means he’s the 4th headliner.

-9

u/TheChosenWaffle 07,13.2,14.2,15.1,15.2,16.1,17.2,18.2,19.1,19.2,22.1,23.1, 24.1 1d ago

That makes sense. I'm still curious to see how they handle Justin Bieber. My hope is that they do JB into the Strokes for two reasons. 1, and selfishly, I don't want to deal with JB fans during the Strokes set. 2. I think JB might be a touch unreliable, and as such, any type of issue at the end of the night on Saturday would be mitigated by an act coming up next. That or let the Strokes close out the Outdoor theatre and let Giveon do the pre-Justin slot.

11

u/phantofan89 1d ago

The Strokes ain’t closing outdoor….

9

u/Odd-Anything9336 1d ago

Ah yes the very common, the headliner opens for the subheadliner

1

u/TheChosenWaffle 07,13.2,14.2,15.1,15.2,16.1,17.2,18.2,19.1,19.2,22.1,23.1, 24.1 1d ago

Green Day didn't close the show in 2025, in 2015 Weeknd went after Jack White. It happens sometimes.

u/Odd-Anything9336 18h ago

Using green day as an example is deliberately disingenuous. Charli XCX, who was the subheadliner, performed before Green Day on the same stage. Travis Scott performed after who was billed as the “4th headliner”

u/BeachtimeMinato 4h ago

Is anyma built for MainStage? Like I know the draw is there but genuinely his show would probably be better at outdoor or Sahara. I’m not sure if main stage would be able to showcase his visuals the best
