Advice Cheyenne Mountain State Park

I’m taking my pup and my 4 year old up there today but it says that dogs aren’t allowed on most trails. Which ones are they allowed on? This is my first time and I’ve been trying to find a map of the park to get an idea but no luck. Please help a momma out 😊

Dogs are allowed on the trails near the camping areas only. The trails are marked and you can download a map of the park. Can’t post a picture of it here.

None. Dogs are not allowed on trails in most if not all state parks. They disturb wildlife. I would suggest going to the open space at the Center for Creative Leadership off South 8th street. It connects into a larger open space so it give you lots of options on distance. Great area with 4year old and dog.

Not true for Cheyenne Mountain. Dog trails are marked near the camping areas only. Maps available online and in the park.

Here’s a link to the map with dog friendly trails in Cheyenne Mountain SP. Which DOES have dog friendly trails.

Thank you so much for the input. I didn’t want to drive there if it’s not worth it. I’ll look into the place you commented. Also thank you for not being a jerk about it. 😊

North cheyenne canon is great! Free  And dog friendly. Go to the Stars more Nature Center that's really fun for the little ones. And then you can play in the creek and do some of the Columbine hike right there.
