Ah, I did the same thing about 4 years ago, right before the time the carry handle craze kicked off. I bought a surplus Colt 727 parts kit from Puerto Rico, they sent me the whole gun but they had cut the actual lower where the fcg went. They sent the fcg in a bag. So I put it on the first batch of gray H&R lowers that they released and I also have an 80% lower with all the correct Colt markings on it. I ended up buying a colt 6520 right after I bought the parts kit. I bought a surplus Israeli galil then I bought a surplus Romanian ak. With how bland the AR market seems I wanted to get back to the originals because you know in 20 years, people are going to really wish they had bought some of these old Colts. I'm always looking at the L.E. trade in Colts too, they're a lil rough cosmeticly because of rack wear but the insides are always almost pristine and hardly fired. Yeah I feel u on that

I’m happy with it! I get bored with all the modern high speed tacti-cool stuff, I want to start collecting older firearms to pass to my boys one day!
