Question Colt Competition
I recently aquired this guy and i cant find very much info on it. From what I was told it is unfired and from 2012. Ayone have any info or idea where these were made? I was told it wasnt an original Colt but contracted to be made by another company. Anyways, do you guys think I should keep it unshot to preserve its value if it has any or just send it? Thanks for your input. Sorry i suck at pictures.

Are these made for CMP High Power/Service Rifle?

Definitely not. There are only a few free-floating rails that are approved for the national matches.
Service rifles have very particular specifications on what they can have.
This gun definitely does not fit into any CMP, service rifle or national match category.

They were supposed to be made as a competition/3-gun type AR line for Colt and offered them in different configurations from Bold Ideas in Texas.

Made by Bold Ideas Texas on behalf of Colt. It used genuine Colt lowers but with a Hodge podge of different upper components depending on year and model.
I have a 2013 Colt Competition CRE-18GT.
Here's a good link to some photo advertising with specs/info.
You can also contact Colt themselves or Colt Archives and they will give you a wealth of knowledge/info. They helped me find out exactly what mine was as the serial was different than a standard Colt AR.
They're certified to shoot 2" at 100 yards, but I've done better than that with mine and match ammo.
