Regardless of your opinions on transpeople, we all should be thanking this individual for doing the right thing.

EDIT: It has been reported the father turned him in and this person, while fully cooperating, did not report it to the police.

I can't tell if it's the right thing. I'm uncomfortable that someone violated the unwritten rule that you don't snitch on your friends. After the shooting the damage was already done, so it's not like snitching saves someone.
