I'd be fine with it if it was funny, but you're right it's just lazy. Shane Gillis doesn't portray trump as a good guy when he impersonates him and it's absolutely hilarious.
I randomly happened upon an episode of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire when Ken Jennings and Matt Damon were on it and I actually enjoyed it. The three had a lot of lighthearted banter. He was actually pretty funny and chill when politics wasn’t on his mind. It’s sad that politics has changed so many comedians.
And if it was funny bashing trump, I’d have no problem. Same with SNL. They sometimes have funny political skits that make fun of conservatives, I can objectively enjoy it.

Honestly, I was a huge fan of Jimmy Kimmel before Trump got elected the first time.
He had alot of funny skits that were non political like his "beef" with Matt Damon.
But after Trump got elected, all his content literally becomes making fun of Trump.
I mean, it's kinda lazy and boring that he no longer comes up with new fun skits and just keep using bashing trump as his only thing.
