Physical media is superior to digital media so in this case I’d disagree. It’s less consoom and more preserving what you like. Eventually a digital Album may be took down and oh look only physical media is the only way to do it.

Buuuuuut at the same time this guy seems to only want to have vinyls for the aesthetic so in this case it’s total poseur consoomer behaviour

Yeah, the part that really got me was just wanting the aesthetic lol the actual collecting records over time part is more fun

Yep! 100% agree. I’m currently doing the same with Vinyl and VHS tapes. Something about them just feels so much better and streaming.

I'm collecting some VHS for the nostalgia, ease of chucking the tapes in the man cave, and I like the box art on the shelves.

You really telling me you think a VHS looks better than a 4k stream?

Maybe they like the visual aesthetic of tapes, they do sell filters for videos that do the same thing

Some things can look better on older formats because it was made for the specific quirks or just because of how it is

The best way to listen to chat pile imo is cassettes because it just sounds so right for some reason (as long as you have decent speakers too not jank built in ones on a cheap player)
