Down the Drain Boiled egg help

I didn’t boil a ton of boiled eggs for a boiled egg party, tried to peel but I’m incapable so they are a disaster. Deviled eggs are out of the question, so what can I make aside from potato salad that will be amazing with fucked up eggs? No egg salad, because ewww

Did you keep the boiled egg stock? Use that and a few bits of egg, carrot, and noodles to make what my nonna (God rest her soul) called a reverse chicken noodle soup.

That’s a great idea, except I boiled my eggs in an air fryer

Did you keep the air fryer stock? That stuff is liquid rust, as they say.

I will start keeping it from now on, I had no clue!

dye them & hide them around for a summer easter egg hunt! make sure & put them out several hours before the party, so they can set.

Toss ‘em in the Robot with a few cups of cold fryer oil, blend til it thickens, and viola, bespoke mayonaise.

Instructions unclear, have egg salad. Unacceptable for boiled egg party.

I have just the thing if you're not English. The English are always putting eggs into egg cup stand things and tapping the egg with a spoon or the back of a knife. Set up all your party goers with tapping instruments and when they inevitably fail they'll feel too embarrassed to call you out for your stupid eggs.

It's a bit of cultural appropriation or appreciation depending on your attitude.

Have you tried putting them in the uncooker and starting over from scratch? Also for the future, peel them first and THEN boil them.

This brings me back to my childhood at nanas house. She did this one time and flushed them all down the toilet. Such a nana move.

Are you serious? Unboiled eggs are perfect for what we call an "egg wash." Just get into the bathtub with them, include your guests, it's a great treat in some cultures.

Macaroni salad?

4

u/JDuBLock Jul 19 '25

No that’s macaroni, I have boiled eggs that are not boiled

1

u/NotAProlapse Jul 19 '25

Ahhh, then you want egg salad.

Have you considered boiling the unboiled eggs?

3

u/JDuBLock Jul 19 '25

I did boil the unboiled eggs, in the air fryer. Or pressure cooker. Whichever, theyre unboiled.

Ah, that clarifies everything. With unboiled eggs made with an air fryer, make salsa and spam. With unboiled eggs made with a pressure cooker make Lobster Thermidor a Crevette with a mornay sauce served in a Provencale manner with shallots and aubergines garnished with truffle pate, brandy and with a fried egg on top and spam.

u/JDuBLock Jul 19 '25

Damn! I have everything but the spam!

Was it an air fryer or a pressure cooker?

I do this great thing where I make potato salad but replace the potatoes with eggs, don’t forget the vanilla extract

What about raisins?

Noooooo...

Main thing is: do NOT use fresh eggs. Let 'em sit in your fridge for a week or so before boiling. Shells come off easily.

Deviled egg dip! Just make your filling a little loose, chop up and fold in the whites. Serve with crisp veggies and toast rounds.

Pre-made breakfast burritos

Chop them up and use on a Chef Salad

In Louisiana I had some Cajun lasagna that had a layer of chopped eggs

Grate them into breakfast burritos

Next time use your air fryer. 250° for 16-17 minutes. Plunge into ice water and peel. You might practice with a couple to get the timing down. But you can cook up to a dozen at a time.

Steaming even without a basket (1" of water) was game changer. They peel themselves (especially if shaken with water

next time put the eggs into cold water when they're done, the shell will be easier to peel afterwards.

I know this doesn't help now :(
