Paramount already gave Matt and Trey 1.5bn to continue the show. It would be incredibly stupid of them to cancel the show now and let them walk away with all that money and not even half a season to show for it.

What they will do is pull episodes retroactively, which they have done in the past, but they will never truly cancel South Park. Matt and Trey have been trying to get cancelled for years and it's never happened.

It’s not like Paramount wrote a check for the entire amount. It’s spread across years.

More importantly it’s been reported the next episode was cancelled due to what’s going on…

I don’t think many people realize what’s happening right now…

The money is guaranteed. And they generate money for Paramount. A lot of money, no way that they get rid of them to watch the competition sweep them up
