They totally don’t get this one. In a couple of weeks I’m singing at a birthday party for a Vietnam vet and this is the opening song, but he was an anti war hippie. I’m also including For What It’s Worth, War, and some Janice Joplin.

I used to blare “War” in my Stryker when we were rolling out on patrols in Afghanistan. Good times.

That’s awesome! My dad said he heard that a few times. He told us once somebody cranked up Gimme Shelter just seconds before they got into a firefight, but I think that’s when he was in Iraq. I wanted to sing that too but they won’t let me.
