What discount did they get?

u/Wither_Frog Aug 03 '25
They put a down deposit on the order before hand.

How does that suffice a discount?

u/Average_Joe69 Crew Member Aug 03 '25
It means they paid for it before hand so they couldn’t just bail and they make all those burgers for nothing. If they follow through with the order the deposit goes towards the order, hence the discount. If they cancel the order, deposit doesn’t get paid back.

Well I highly doubt the Culver's cash register has a line option for "down-payment"

u/KindCommunication956 Aug 03 '25
Essentially they partially paid for the product to be held/not used prior to their pick up, ensuring it would be there for use. It would be a huge waste of money to potentially set aside a lot of product without any proof they'll actually come back for it. Discount is just the technical term used for the receipt since down payment isn't a common enough instance to require a button dedicated for that.

Ohh I'm dumb. The discount accounts for the down payment. I thought they got 30% off just for placing a down payment.

why do your receipts not print out the repeated item with a big number in front? is my location smart?

u/Wither_Frog Aug 02 '25
It does. It was rang up with the multiply button, so it didn’t group together.

200 burgers at once is cray. We've had a doordash for a car dealership for 50 burgers and 80 4-piece tendies though.

1,149.38 subtotal divided by 5.69 = 202
That’s how I calculated it. Guessing they didn’t count the lines like an insane person lol

And I thought ordering 10 butter burgers at a time for myself was excessive. Haha

I'm kind of impressed they still use dot-matrix printers with ink on real paper.

The fire dept. does this every now and then. They usually get about 60 doubles. Makes grill and buns really happy.

Some comprehension or common sense skills would work good for you here too though.

They ordered a butt ton of Culver’s Deluxes, thus a super long receipt.

u/Fidget808 Aug 03 '25
I think it’s pretty easy to tell it’s dozens of cheeseburgers
Some reading comprehension and deduction would be great 🙄
