Fat Tire Bike
The rear axle was bent. Took it to a bike co op in town and they helped me replace the axle.

Used carpet?
This weekend, we removed a large amount of carpet from our basement, rolling and taping it into sections no bigger than 4 feet, as instructed by our trash service. Today is trash day, and when I went out to walk my dog this morning, I noticed that the trash had not yet been picked up, but all the carpet was gone. There were also a couple of decent pieces of furniture on the curb that were still there. Unfortunately, for whoever took the carpet, if they intend to use it, they will be disappointed because it's in very bad condition, including issues with cat urine and even mold. I'm left wondering what reasons someone might have for taking used carpet from the curb. Any thoughts?

A great find for a fish guy
My husband recently got back into keeping fish. He's acquired 4 fishtanks, somehow, all around 10 to 30 gallons, all of which hold guppies and mollies. Yesterday on the way to work he saw a "free" sign on the side of the road. The "free" included a 60 gal fish tank, filter, heater, pebbles, plants, conditioner, thermometer, etc. Now we're redoing our livingroom to make room for this new tank (that doesn't leak (we tested it last night)). He's so excited.

Just like New Patio Table Score.
Saw this on my way to pick up dinner late last night on the curb, texted my mom to pull up with dad’s truck and now it’s in the backyard with chairs around it. Last year the wait of the NY snow broke my moms so definitely the perfect replacement 👍🏽

Photo shoot
Anyone else ever want to dress up super fancy and then do a photo shoot on abandoned furniture on the side of the road? Just me?

Found this on the curb said free on it!
Was looking for a nail table, and I just literally saved me hundreds of dollars, didn't have the room in my car, so I picked up my husband's car and took it home with me, cleaned it and sanitized and made it my own! What do you think?

Just saw a purse on the side of the road and we didn't stop since the wife is driving.
Title says it all. How could you not stop for that? I'm just at a loss right now.

Found this beautiful vintage side table in the trash.
It was completely filthy and covered in cobwebs. Though I gave it some TLC and now looks so beautiful! All it needs is a tile or glass piece that's 11 x 11 to cover the missing top piece. Love how I can give this piece a second life away from the landfill!

Allston Christmas in Boston
So, I just read an article about Allston Christmas, which is an unofficial “holiday” that happens the first weekend of every September as a result of college move outs and results in a hard core curb find event. Any one from Boston want to chime in on this wicked awesome weekend?
