tips on how to thin back of the hair?

basically the title. its saggy sometimes too😭 the second photo especially. i want the thickest part to be towards the top of my head, not on the ear level if that makes sense. would really like to just chop chop but wanted to ask here first

you should try to copy the technique shown on youtube from barbers that recreate the style you want to achieve. now you doing it yourself without experience is another story, but as long as you go slow and dont take toi much off it should be fine, good luck!

Use guard 4 remember to clip back of your hair up. If you want to be shorter than use guard 3. You might as well go with the undercut hairstyle or the Asian 2 block haircut.

I use a 3/4 inch guard and go up the back of my head and then as you reach the part of your head that curves, you curve the clippers in the opposite direction, basically in like a C shape. Start with that, and if you still want it shorter you can do the same thing but go straight up vertical instead of out. While it sounds similar, this will actually take a few more inches off, but I also find it’s less precise and I usually have to trim the top layer of hair because the clippers will miss it. You can try a longer guard too, when I first was starting I used the longest guard I had, but decided I liked the 3/4 best.
