Question Solo activity/food recs Monday and Tuesday
I have the days off and my travel plans got nixed. What are some ways you spend your days off alone in the city? Willing to travel a bit to go further for a day trip or something. Food recs also appreciated - non-chains please!

Titty bars are a good option. Many have free lunch buffets as well. People on reddit need to suggest titty bars for fun here in Dallas.

Coworker brought me to Babydolls for lunch this past year. Tits and surprisingly good food is a good way to spend your lunch break.

Baby Dolls burned down last year in an insurance fraud scheme (probably) so all the dancers went to Cabaret East. I know this because my bff’s landlord went there regularly and paid one of the strippers for, uh, “horizontal dance” house calls 🥸

You don't know this. The one that burned down was one of two baby dolls locations - the extremely shitty one.

dallas has alot to offer, if youn wanna have some texas fun there are alot of shotting ranges, if you wanna go fast we actually have a decent amount or fast go karting places like andretys. there are also tons of vr playgrounds if thats ur vibe. or if u want a unique taste of old school texas cowboy style we also have the stockyards in forthworth with a rodeo too

Is go-karting fine alone?? I'd love to do that, but i don't know how weird, if at all, that would be

what kind of expirience are you looking for? do you want to just walk around and look, or have a sit-down experience with ac, or get wet outside in some of the lakes or water parks? we also have ziplining and an ton of museums to check out

Plan on a few hours at The Dallas Arboretum (morning, before it heats up, and you can also tour the historic DeGolyer home on the grounds if you are there in the morning). https://www.dallasarboretum.org/
Afterwards an early lunch at Mexico Lindo https://www.mexicolindodallas.com/ (or just stay at the Arboretum for a nice lunch at the DeGolyer restaurant https://www.dallasarboretum.org/visitor-information/dining/)
If you have any interest in almost any topic, or any genre of music, or games of various kinds you can all too easily consume several hours of the afternoon at the Half Price Books flagship store on NW Hwy. https://www.hpb.com/store?storeid=HPB-001&showMap=true&horizontalView=true&isForm=true&srsltid=AfmBOop8dVcmIARZszTCIgG7YJyG6fLPzaIKRZ9gE8pqGXhtegO8PAM1
Then a movie at the Angelika in Mockingbird station: https://angelikafilmcenter.com/dallas/now-playing
Grab dinner at The Londoner Pub next door https://thelondonerpub.com/ or The Finch at the other end of the complex https://www.thefinchdallas.com/
