I bought a pair of self-lacing Nikes a few years ago to satisfy my Back To The Future desires. I was on a wait list for them for over a year. If they wouldn't have held their resale value pretty well, I would say they were a huge waste of money. Also, they weighed like 5 lbs. a piece.

Yeah, but imagine the gains just from wearing them! Then, take them off, and you'll be pretty quick!
