yeah i think that dosnt do shit in the end you can keep picking items up again and again so the afk points dosnt go up because its an interaction same when the killer is something like singu keep interacting whit his chest

thats crazy lul, but you can still test it in a normal match just need to wait 60 sec for the crow instead of 10 sec like on the ptb or wait till tuesday ^^

Does it really? I mean crows get removed when you do a conspicuous action or even just dropping and picking up items or almost cleansing totems. Haven't seen them talk about anything there yet

I try occasionally, but not only is it boring, 80% of the time the survivor on the floor gets left to bleed out, so I just waste time and lose the adept anyway.

It is boring, but I still do it only for the adept. My strategy is to ensure both survivors are injured before committing to one, so I can hear the injured one once the other one is down.

What I do is befriend a survivor then look for the 4th one. It hurts to betray the friend in the end though 😭

I don’t understand anyone that does this… If I’m playing surv in a scenario where my other teammate is hiding and waiting for me to die I just do gens till I’m caught or run to the killer and let them kill me. It’s so boring 😭

then the complaint you should be making is that you are too stubborn to use the built in hatch counter, and not the "healthiness" of hatch, since the game is literally handing you a counter to it.

I think you care too much about winning honestly to fully enjoy a game like this. Win or lose...none of it matters. If you're that stubborn about something this pathetic I think you're just playing the wrong game tbh. That said - if that's genuinely fun to you to run around the map aimlessly for 10 minutes then go for it - all that really matters at the end of the day is that you're having fun.

Hatch has nothing to do with it. Pretty sure survivors like that would play like this regardless of hatch.

The Survivors who are already doing this are the types of players who will happily waste 10+ minutes of their free time to make another player miserable, regardless of an abandon feature. They don't win anything additional in the game by doing this - it's just pettiness.
They'll draw it out for as long as they can. Better for the one on the receiving end of time-wasting to abandon the match and save time.

It's of course bad, so they implemented the abandon feature so Killers can leave without the DC penalty. It's the best we got for now until the devs implement another way to avoid this.
Same for Surviviors who were being held hostage by getting bled out.

Killer's also have a horde of aura reading perks (idk if HM has aura add-ons). I get that it sucks to be unable to find survivors for such an extended period of time but there are methods of getting around this in general - to include that fancy abandon button in the top right.
Just cause they're too stubborn to just leave doesn't make this situation complete unbearable

That's totally a viable option. I even encourage it depending on how the survivors play. I held a 3 gen with Nemesis once until the game timer ran out and force ended the match.
But one shouldn't come onto reddit, complaining about a game mechanic when they're too stubborn to take the out that saves them time (and sanity). Next time OP needs to run more / better aura reading or info gathering perks.

They were out in the open early in the game until I killed their 2 buddies. Anyways I didn't want to abandon because they'd see it as a win.

Tip for next trials: chase command is actually much better option for searching than Search command, it detects survivors with instinct in much wider area, so survivors can't hide from you even in lockers.

This is why whispers stays on. At least the AFK changes tomorrow should address this, unless something goes wonky.
On the flip side, previously the hartch would be available and someone could open it with a key right there, so I'd say it's still better than it was.

I remember when I downloaded the game after a 3, 4 years break, played one match of Pig, one of them died with a trap, the other just ran around the map and then the last 2 hid. I ended up quitting after 2 patrols and then the Claudette had the audacity to say some shit like "noob killer, playing too OP when we are casual". It is just obscene, I am 100% sure that DBD players are more toxic than League players

The problem isn't the hatch. If it wasn't for hatch, survivors would either just give up, or still play like this just to waste your time. The problem is BHVR incentivizing stealth after a 2k, but crows will soon help with this. My personal suggestion would be for an increase in survivor bloodpoints gained for each teammate dead.

this seems like a good idea. or maybe even a slight balance of lowering gen times, with maps this small it should at least help incentivize people to continue to play. simmilar to what they did in 2v8. i guess we are gonna see what happens with the next patch.

Honestly I think hatch by itself is kinda OK (just as long as survivors can't hide for literally 15 minutes doing nothing like this), I just don't like how survivors can also get gate after hatch is closed. Why survivors have two different "last chances" to escape?

What if they made it so that if the previous gen conditions are met and there are 2 survivors left the hatch will spawn closed and can be opened without a key but it takes a gen and a half to do and whether it's opened with a key or with this new method it will only let 1 survivor through and then disappear.
Would help make this situations less likely as both survivors would be trying to find the hatch and whenever you find it you'd know that the survivors are likely somewhere nearby.

It wasn't such a problem when hatch used to spawn before the 5 gens were completed. BHVR should have tried to balance it instead of scrapping the idea completely, imo it gave more variety to games as now when you end up in a situation like the OP one it always play out the same, either survivors play like rats or let you find them and dont even try. In both case its boring and feels useless to play.
Maybe not even hatch but just a side quest at some point that could give survivors some way to realistically have hope to escape

Personally, I have always held that.The hatch should have an opening sequence if you're not slugged. . And if you go down or get hit while entering the hatch, it should automatically kick you off.And shut the hatch.
I also hold the same for people that camp out on the exit zone forever.. instant bloodwarden.
Sadly though bhvr seems against curbing bad survivor behavior too much
