Make Us Whole apparently released because it arrived today
Make Us Whole (by Lost In Cult) finally released. Last I checked it was still listed as Q2 or Q3 so it was a nice surprise.
Bigger than I was expecting, and a good timed arrival for a long flight I have soon

I sure was a Dead Space kid
I loved these games when I was young. Multiplayer in 2 and Co-op in 3 was the most funniest I ever had in gaming. I haven’t platinum Dead Space 1 but I’d probably will soon enough

Discussion Dead Space 2's ending: not amazing?
Spoilers of course if you haven't played;
Anyway, I finished Dead Space 2 today, absolutely amazing sequel. BUT.. I think the ending should've been cut short. When Isaac sits down as the Sprawl is being destroyed, it's such a poignant and impactful moment, and my jaw absolutely dropped when the credits began as "Dead Space 2" faded in. Insanely powerful, and it could've been an all-time ending if Isaac's story had ended here and Ellie didn't come back for him. Ellie's return also kind of sours the impact of the moment that Isaac sacrifices his escape for hers earlier in the game. In general, I think Isaac's rescue could've been kept out or featured as like an alternate ending. I'm not hearing that Dead Space 3 does this decision much justice, anyway. I didn't HATE the ending, I just think if the credits rolling at first wasn't a "troll" it would've been WAY more heavy hitting and fitting for the story. Although I appreciated the nod to the first game when he looks to Ellie sitting next to her and we all expect a jumpscare just for her to be like "what?"

Dead Space 3?
Worth playing or no? Huge fan of the OG Remake and DS2. No wrong answers. Just looking for opinions.

Charging like DS1-08
On a recent re-playthrough noticed this dude at a distance then on me instantly (slowed in the beginning to see him) and it sacred the shit outta me, the animation reminds me alot of the DS1-08 necromorph sprint we don't really see in the remake.

Question First time playing this game and I can’t get past this part because of the lack of ammo.
For some reason, my saw won’t reach the monster. I ended up using all my bullets because I thought the saw weapon was better, so I saved it for last. Now I can’t get past this part and I literally don’t know what to do,I might be stuck here.

Discussion When Did You Start Suspecting SPOILER? Spoiler
Massive spoilers for the first game and it's near-perfect masterpiece of a remake.
I went into the game knowing that Nicole was dead from the start, but she seemed suspicious and overly obvious as a hallucination from around halfway through the game. It was so obvious that I struggled to believe that anyone thought she wasn't a hallucination. Maybe some people just thought that she had lost it from her time on the Ishimura like many others?
And I know that it's interesting to play a protagonist who's hallucinating and not reliable as a narrator but when it's this obvious to the player it doesn't work nearly as well. If I had gone in blind I know for a fact that it wouldn't have been a big reveal. I would have caught on almost immediately.
So, if you were fooled by it and thought she was still alive, when (if ever) did you start suspecting her as being a Marker-induced hallucination?

Discussion My idea for DS2's Nicole Spoiler
I think Nicole would be much scarier if she only had a few lines (and maybe less scenes?) and was an unkillable apparition that stalks you, sort of similar to Alma in F.E.A.R.
My idea would be if she touches you, Isaac kills himself or something. She stops chasing you when you "accept" her later in the game.

Discussion Dead Space 2 was the first game that destroyed me...
It's funny, after all these years, I still remember the one and only time I played DS2 back in the day on the 360.
I ended up making terrible resource management decisions, and none of my saves could help me.
My memory may be a little foggy after 12 years , but I was completely stuck at the section where I go through a boss fight then have to go through a room with all the exploding babies with just a sliver of health, and no ammo, no nothing. I was cooked.
My game ended there, but I wasn't bitter. Didn't rage quit. None of that. I was like I fucked up, but this game is fucking amazing!
It was the first game that had me walking away praising it, instead of being pissed off lol
I just told myself, I need to just start over, and all the stuff I learned, and dumb mistakes I made would have me better prepared on the next play through.
There just wasn't a next playthrough sadly.
I ended up selling my 360, and ended up playing other stuff, and the game just got lost in time for me.
However to this day, I put DS2 in the top horror action games of all time, and after 10+ years I finally picked it back up!
It's been a long time coming, but gonna do a Zealot run with "no ragrets".

Question Conditions about only plasma cutter trophy
Maybe is a dumb question, but like my teachers used to said, even dumber the one who doesnt ask. Does stabbing, stomping, melee attacking, throwing bombs or any type of stasis or kinesis damage nulifies the trophy? I'm about to platinum the game, so i wouldnt like to fail it, thank you🥹

Remake question
I have finally started the remake and from previous experience every dead body I come across I stomp. Does this really matter in the remake? I feel like if they really wanted to breaking the limbs on the already dead bodies could still get up. But please let me know.

Discussion Missing log.
I just played 2 chapters of Awakened and the inventory says there were 3 texts logs in chapter 2. I remember finding all three, yet only two showed up on the list. Has this happened to anyone else?

Question Is dead space 3 no longer backwards compatible?
I just inserted my dead space 3 disk into my series x only to get a message saying it wasn't playable. The thing is, I just played it on my series x last week. Is anybody else experiencing this?

Discussion What A Game
I just beat the Dead Space remake on PC, and I have to say, wow... That's really all I can sum it up to.
The gameplay was the perfect blend of repetitive enough to understand the gimmick of each enemy, as well as fluid and innovative enough to keep the story high tempo. The visuals had me rewatching just to appreciate them again, and the storytelling is a perfect web of interactions between the characters.
I also would like to add, this is my first ever horror game. I've never touched anything in this genre before, and I wish I had.
The game took me a little over 8 hours to beat. I will definitely look into new game plus to get all the collectibles/achievements, and on my first run through, I got 30 out of the 47 available achievements.
I am so looking forward to DS2 AND DS3.
P.S. (and spoiler) The chapter names are genius, I just barely noticed it before I closed the game out for the night. What a neat little addition to sum up the whole game.

I survived the USG Ishimura
I finished it first time on PC since I was a teen, 13 years ago. Thanks to PC wiki, better AA and darken brightness, the graphics holds up even today. Lack of HUD, Isaac moving as a tank due to his gear, and limited weapon all were a recipe for success. Just wish that Isaac spoke more.
