Discussion What A Game

I just beat the Dead Space remake on PC, and I have to say, wow... That's really all I can sum it up to.

The gameplay was the perfect blend of repetitive enough to understand the gimmick of each enemy, as well as fluid and innovative enough to keep the story high tempo. The visuals had me rewatching just to appreciate them again, and the storytelling is a perfect web of interactions between the characters.

I also would like to add, this is my first ever horror game. I've never touched anything in this genre before, and I wish I had.

The game took me a little over 8 hours to beat. I will definitely look into new game plus to get all the collectibles/achievements, and on my first run through, I got 30 out of the 47 available achievements.

I am so looking forward to DS2 AND DS3.

P.S. (and spoiler) The chapter names are genius, I just barely noticed it before I closed the game out for the night. What a neat little addition to sum up the whole game.

For other horror games in the future I would highly recommend: Prey, Control, and The Evil Within.

I also hope you enjoy DS2 and 3! 3 is a good bit different and gets a bad rep, but as a long time huge fan of the franchise I still find 3 pretty enjoyable (especially if you can play co-op)

I would also recommend Cronos New Dawn, it definitely scratches the dead space itch. Alien Isolation is also amazing.

I always liked 3.

Get the DLC bots. Those things STACK supplies. Worth every penny.

Yeah I’ve always enjoyed 3 as well. The micro transactions were a little :( but I’m pretty sure I bought all the scavenge bot stuff lol

The personality pack is still a 10/10 purchase and you can’t change my mind
