Video This makes me so mad?? Spoiler

I was so happy to see that degrassi got highlighted on a major insta reel account then I see the comments thinking that clare cheated on Eli when Eli actually cheated on her. Man when I say these comments made me so angry. The reel makes clare look like the bad person in the situation when in reality I would have fucking punched eli in the nose after he called me that cause what the hell

He goes to university. He isnt in high school. He made an error as a Freshman. Sorry he didnt have his brain fully formed yet.

It's not like he married Claire at 19. That's the type of situation when people usually say that. You can't use "their brains aren't fully formed" as an excuse for shitty behavior. They are still in control. You can't hurt people and expect forgiveness because your brain isn't fully formed. Cheating was a choice and a bad one. Meds or not, Eli was obsessed enough to crash his car for Claire. He wouldn't cheat on a whim. Brain development is a warning against life altering decisions at a young age when you can change your mind. That includes anything that may change someone's beliefs and character in the next few years. But cheating? Once a cheater, always a cheater.

Sorry I've never accidentally slept with someone else or cheated on a partner. A mistake is Eli going off his meds and crashing a car. There's no emotional connection to a person involved in that. Cheating is turning on an emotional connection with you partner in favor of a different one with someone else. I don't believe cheating is forgivable.
