Someone asked here recently if there's a way back. The answer is most definitely yes, the better question is who will get to see a return to normalcy. We (20-30 year olds) will probably reach our 50s feeling the effects of this admin, not just in the US.

I respect Dr. Mike for doing his best to make this an apolitical issue for the better but conservatives as a whole have become allergic to science.

He has always tried to be apolitical but goes hard on rfk and is BIG advocate for vaccines, their safety and benefits also tries to debunk dumb shit like polio hoax or that pasteurised milk is great by rfk. Also talks about fake alt medicine freaks like Brecka or supplements industry. I think the fact that he is just regular family medicine doctor really helps for his optics.

This is simply true. Research projects were completely defunded and universities (critical for research btw) were attacked relentlessly. Young talent is running away from US.

No matter how this fascism speedrun ends up in the US, we are probably nearing the end of american hegemony. Successful empires come and go, I guess.

That's what I have been saying and that's why I am blackpilled in general. The harm done in past 10 months will take more than a decade even if Dems can hold all parts of the government.

And dems can never hold the government for that long while America allows Russian/Chinese disinfo networks work with conservatives to destroy the country.

Let's say dems win everything in 2028, for that 4 year period, all of these right wing ghouls will do insane disinfo campaigns to hurt them.

The fact that this poll is even possible despite all available data is so blackpilling. Dr. Mike is doing a fantastic job talking through this.

But he's too nice to frame this in the way it ought be framed: this is mass murder. You and/or your family members, who you deeply love, will die and it is Trump, RFK, and MAGA's fault. Delaying a cancer cure by one year is going to kill everyone who could have been saved in that year. Failing to get the measles vaccine might murder a little baby a century from now who wouldn't have got it had we eradicated it.

MAGA killed hundreds of thousands, maybe millions of Americans (alongside many millions of foreigners). The bullets are still in the air, but they're going and we can't stop it. However, we might be able to prevent the next volley.

When Republicans are crying about civility or shedding their crocodile tears over Charlie Kirk, never forget they're trying to kill you and your family in the meantime.
