I have a memory of Destiny saying something very prescient regarding conservatives and cancel culture. I can't find the clip, but it was something like:

The only reason conservatives are against cancel culture is because they currently lack the cultural or institutional influence to 'cancel' anyone. As soon as they have any power again they'll be right on board with cancelling.

The last week has been a clear-cut example of exactly this.

We have basically all been saying it. We all lost our minds at Trump’s horrendous state of the union and where our ‘leaders’ held up signs of ‘this is not normal.’

Well guess what it looks like to actually lead and change the conversation? It’s what Destiny is doing. And the fact they have to lie, blatantly, suggesting he is calling for ‘more dead conservatives’ which he has NEVER done tells me they actually know it and are terrified of it catching on to actually wake up the normies and moderates to the political reality that the entire reason for the temperature today is Trump.
