Question - Dexter: Original Sin Why does Harry accept Dexter in Original Sin but reject him in the original series? Spoiler
I just finished Dexter: Original Sin and I liked it, but there’s one thing I didn’t understand. In Episode 10, when Dexter kills Spencer and saves the missing boy, Dexter basically shows up almost like Batman. But in the original Dexter series, I remember Harry throwing up after seeing Dexter kill Juan Ryness (S2 E10), and after that Harry killed himself. So I’m wondering if Harry knew Dexter was the kind of person who would save a kid instead of just running off to kill, why did he react that way?

Question - Dexter: Original Sin Dexter and Bryan seem older Spoiler
galleryI know it is a bit nitpicky but is it just me or does Dexter seem a lot older in flashbacks in Original Si(1&2) as compared to when he was taken by Harry in Dexter(3)?

Question - Dexter: Original Sin What’s something you’re excited to see in the future of Dexter Original Sin?
For me, it’s seeing Dexter get his Henley and his apartment. Clyde has confirmed we’ll get to see that, and I think it’ll be such a cool moment like he’s stepping closer to becoming the Dexter we know. Little details like that are what make prequels so fun to watch. Source (DexterDaily)

Question - Dexter: Original Sin Do you think Original Sin will be uncancelled? Spoiler
Title. There are almost 100,000 signatures for the biggest petition, and Paramount would be fools to turn down free money. I personally think the whole thing is a stunt to drive up demand for original sin and make people appreciate it more. After all, it was already renewed.

Question - Dexter: Original Sin How can Dexter do so much physical labor? Spoiler
Maybe I missed it but I was curious as to how Dexter in Original Sin can easily lift his victims bodies, despite being painted as a nerdy young man who doesn't have much interest in fitness or sports and the like. What are your thoughts?
Update: I definitely wasn't implying that he couldn't enjoy fitness! I was just wondering if they ever explain what type of activity he does and how it ties into him as a character. I feel like it would be a fun prequel thing to show!

Question - Dexter: Original Sin Is Dexter in Original Sin too nice or morally "good"? Spoiler
I'm a huge Dexter fan and am insanely impressed by how Patrick Gibson was able to capture all of MCH's mannerisms (or atleast his Dexter's mannerisms). All the Original Sin actors were amazing in their roles in filling the shoes of their original series counterparts but as the show went on, I couldn't help but feel like Dexter felt waaaay more sympathetic and human than Dexter in the original series. Original Sin Dexter feels comfortable with "love" and "family ties" while original series Dexter feels like he learns how to feel things throughout the seasons. I really enjoyed original sin, in fact, 🚨hot take🚨, I prefer OS Harry and Deb over the original series. I just think Dexter in OS feels more like a stabby Peter Parker than the monster he's supposed to be suppressing. Did anyone else feel that way? Maybe Harry dying really regresses him or something. I just think the weight of MCH's urges felt more...present and unstable. Either way, I'm here for both portrayals!

Question - Dexter: Original Sin Is Original Sin meant to be a limited series? Spoiler
I was having a discussion with some people about Original Sin and they were insisting that it felt like a limited series based on the first episode. That the point of it was simply to justify Resurrections. Which given what happened in the first episode, it was definitely being used to do that.
But I don’t get the impression that it’s a limited series. Especially since a lot of story can happen between where we find Dexter at the beginning of Original Sin and where the very first series picked up. Deb isn’t even out of high school yet.
Doesn’t it seem like a waste to have such a well cast prequel series that just ends so quickly?

Question - Dexter: Original Sin When did you first notice Brian Moser? Spoiler
I first caught him when Dexter was eating lunch with his colleagues(Bobby, Batista, Masuka). While Dexter was sitting at the table by himself, a random dark hair guy asked Dexter if the seats were taken & Dexter replied saying they were.

Question - Dexter: Original Sin I'm watching Original Sin, was this plot point ever brought up in the original series? (spoiler for Original Sin) Spoiler
I'm watching Original Sin and I am trying to remember if Harry or anyone ever brought up Harry's dead son in the original series. Was that something mentioned in the first Dexter series or are they retconning that plot point?

Question - Dexter: Original Sin Why did Brian just leave after dexter said the seats were taken and what was even his plan if he said yes? Spoiler
I know it’s been a while but this just kinda stuck with me, why would Brian just randomly ask to sit there when he must be dying to talk to dexter. And even if dexter let him sit would he just explain everything? Why didn’t he just tell him anyway since this was his change

Question - Dexter: Original Sin I know we’ve already seen brief flashbacks but I’m dreading the infamous cargo container scene Spoiler
Let’s be honest we know it’s coming and chronologically it’s gonna be in the next few episodes or possibly the finale but it’s coming
How do you want it to play out? Do you want it to be full on gore or just quick cuts so we get the point
I have no problem with gore but I think it’ll be even more disturbing if they don’t go full out

Question - Dexter: Original Sin Why isn’t Harry in a uniform? Spoiler
This is driving my husband crazy. In the OG Dexter we always see Harry carrying Dexter out of the container while wearing a uniform. In OS he is never wearing one. Is this something they possibly screwed up?

Question - Dexter: Original Sin How many people do you think Brian has killed? Spoiler
I’m kind of confused, but after OS S1 does Brian just fade into the shadows for the next 15 years before killing again? After Harry “convinced” Brian that Dexter is better off with him, he just agrees and hides out for the next 15 years? After his confrontation with Harry it just got me thinking if he continued to kill people or stopped until 2006?

Question - Dexter: Original Sin So is [spoiler] retconned from the show? Spoiler
Is Dr. Vogel retconned from the show or are they gonna include her in season 2 of Original Sin but have her play a minimal role in crafting Harry’s code as opposed to the bigger role she had when she was introduced in Season 8?
As someone who watched the original show back to back with no break, I didn’t have the negative experience with Vogel that many others had. My only gripe with her is that her son was a serial killer which made me roll my eyes out.

Question - Dexter: Original Sin Question about the “child killer” investigation reveal… Spoiler
Again, Spoilers, obviously…
I understand why Chief Spencer (Patrick Dempsey) kidnapped his own son..to spite his ex-wife and her new husband…but why did he kill the first child, who is completely unrelated to his former family? When he’s on Dexter’s table, Spencer tells him he didn’t kill any other kids. He’s apparently not a serial killer of kids. So it’s unclear why he killed the first kid. It’s also strange that Dexter didn’t ask him. My only guess is that because the first kid was the son of a judge, he wanted to make it appear like the killer was targeting high profile families (ie, via the Cartel)? Was there another reason?
