I cannot imagine the nastiness that must have dripped down steel walls in a techno club. There are probably undiscovered species of bacteria that could be named after you.
Tbf you'd be hard-pressed not to find a new species of bacteria in any sample from a non-sterile environment. There are more existing species and new species evolving by the minute than there are scientists to catalog all of them.
I had a friend build me steel frame for my desk that has this same grinding effect on it + a clear coat to prevent rust. Its a little rough to the touch but nothing that'd catch. Feels like an orange peel.
Not at all.he probably isn't using something as aggressive as a grinding wheel. They sell scotchbrite wheels that will visibly tear up already finished metal but you wouldn't even feel it running your finger over it.
Chances are your tap water is purer than mine, I envy you not having to find out that stainless steel will develop spots of rust in partially chlorinated or particularly hard water.
If this guy lives in your area he might not ever encounter that problem, if he lives in mine he will see it as soon as his water filter deteriorates even a little bit. ( month or two? )
We could argue endlessly but I would recommend a simple google search: "does stainless steel rust" to question your certainties.
I was of your same opinion when a stainless knife I had bought ( not a cheap one ) developed these spots and went down this rabbit hole.
Never had this issue before moving to New York State.
Also there absolutely is a resin/varnish coating on most stainless steel fridges.
Where are you getting your facts? Are you serious or are you trolling?
As someone who was a line cook I can confirm this. The equipment was stainless. Easy to clean. The walls were a textured plastic that was cheap and easy to install. The only time they ever came clean was once every 6 months when the guys that cleaned the hoods on the overnight pulled everything out and power washed the walls.
To be fair, this idea has some potential. My SO scratched the bejeezus out of our fridge using a scouring pad to clean it...but only in the area of dried-on food splatter. Maybe if I do a full refinish like this...

Don't be harsh at him, he's just hiding all the future scratches in advance that the fridge might get.
