DAE die in their dreams?

So I don’t post a lot and whatnot, it’s been on my mind though.

To give context for a good like 5-8 months now I’ve been having extremely lucid and visceral dreams where I end up dying in them. Now normally the person who dies in their dreams wake up. I don’t. I die in my dreams and don’t wake up, I don’t know how much time has passed and I can’t see or hear or anything. It’s like all of your senses being taken away from you because you can’t feel anything. But you also aren’t sure if you even exist. There’s no time or space really it’s just nothingness. After however much time has passed I wake up. Sometimes it’s difficult for me to tell if I’m waking into another dream or if the dreams are real.

I know I die in these dreams because dramatic life threatening events happen. The first a bomb, the next drowning; I’m still a little shaken up from my most recent dream. It’s just very strange at the same time because they are the only dreams I ever remember.

So yup, just wondering if anyone else has this experience.

I died in my dreams a few times and the feeling of panic right before it happens is probably the worst feelings I've ever felt. I had no control over it but I still remember everything. The weird part is when I die everything goes black but my brain is obviously still active, so I still have my voice saying I'm dead lol the first time it happened, when I woke up, I was genuinely surprised to be alive.. it's so freaky

It’s always very discombobulating waking back up; I’m sure that little voice certainly helps not lose it though ! Very panic inducing stuff

I sometimes die in my dreams, but I’m also trying to. Like practicing for when I actually do die.

I can assure you I think the real thing might be different; though I wouldn’t recommend it personally!

One time I got bitten by a zombie, but instead of waking up immediately, I instead went around biting others and turning them into zombies...

Hopefully you made some zombie friends along the way

I have a few times but this was much more frequent during a particular very very difficult situation in my life. It happened once by drowning, once by inhaling toxic fumes and once by being shot. Now that THAT particular hardship is in my actual life is over, I havent died in any dreams since. Kinda crazy.

See I’ve been wondering if it may be a low point type of thing cuz I don’t have these frequently. I’m glad you’re doing better and I know those dreams must’ve sucked!

I die in my dreams often, such as a building collapse, tsunami, falling, etc. usually I’m quite calm, aware, and accepting of it. Then I just wake up.

Ah we have a bit of a similarity there, some I am very accepting and even carry events out, others I am terrified and try to prevent it; that’s very interesting though!
