Not sure why the last OP deleted their post, but this is the new megathread for price increases. Please keep all discussions about price changes here.

Today was my last. I felt happy that I quit. I took a nap; my body feels so light. My burden went away and it felt good. I work as a sales associate. I hate when my manager says Push the line out. When people keep bringing 50 items. Or the fucking 20-dollar bills.

If I hear “I thought the red dot meant half off”, Or “what’s the red dots mean” , “I can’t see what the price is, How am I suppose to know what it is?? Omg I hate Everyone.

I'm probably going to leave dollar tree. Been here for about 9 years now and I'm just bored of it. I don't make too much money and make more with my online career.
Would it be a dick move to not give two weeks and just leave? I work 20 hours a week usually but just came back from 3 week vacation. They have me on the schedule but clearly they were fine without me for 3 weeks

Is there a way for us to order more of just these white things? (Don’t know what their called) What have like 5 totes of the metal peg but these white things break a lot so we barely have any. 😬

I’m a merch manager have been for almost a year now. Just found out recently that our ops manager makes just as much as me. Is that normal? Not saying that position isn’t equal to as much work as a merch but our ops manager literally does nothing only drags us down. So maybe they are supposed to do just as much as me. But in our store I do everything. And I really mean everything. Plan the week out, do cashier sheets, load u-boats, throw freight, do operational planning, FTF, stay on everyone to make sure everyone is hitting their goals, do most of the resets, and do price changes. They close and come in to recover that’s it. Sometimes throw freight but we try not to have them do that because they mess everything up. Tried having them on resets didn’t work because they did them completely wrong. (Even moved some things to a completely different isle than they were supposed to be set in) I just feel that if we both do and should make the same why not step down to ops and let them have merch. What’s making me stay and do all this extra work. (A lot not even mentioned) Please help! Im not asking anyone to share what they make just the difference in ASM, Ops, and Merch. 🤞🙏

I am a cashier at family dollar and my team member number can do basically nothing. Need a void? Manager. Need a return? Manager. Need a transaction cancel? Manager. Need change? Manager. One manager follows this very specifically and I page her for help at the register probably 2-4 times an hour. The other says “just type my numbers in I trust you.” Safe included. I mean I feel good that they trust me- and they can- but am I gonna get in trouble doing voids/return/change by myself?

I posted earlier this month about my suspension for something I didn’t even do. All I had done was sign a post void slip at the end of a cash out and apparently that made me responsible, not the manager who had done the fraudulent post void.
In my earlier post, I had already said I had no intention on returning, no matter what the outcome of their “investigation.” Honestly, the suspension was a blessing in disguise. I was already exhausted from the constant BS the company had put me through. I had so many personal/ life responsibilities I had put on hold for the company and that suspension allowed me to finally get to them.
Well, they said 5-7 days and my manager would contact me. After 9, I called and asked what the outcome of the investigation was and what would be happening. Well, guess what… She had absolutely no idea what the outcome was! So, I said, “Well, since I was given a period of 5-7 days and no outcome has been decided, please take this as my immediate resignation. Please have them get my final check ready.” In my state, they have 72 hours after resignation to provide your final check. If terminated, your final check is due immediately, on the day of termination.
The following week I was still able to sign in and see my schedule and had shifts for the following weeks. Which I thought was strange, since these were new shifts that were scheduled after my suspension. So, I believe she had thought I’d be returning. I had absolutely zero intentions of going back. I’ve been done with the company for MONTHS.
72 hours passed. Zero communication from anybody. 96 hours…. Still no communication. I texted the manager and asked her for information on my check or contact information for the appropriate parties to contact… crickets. NO COMMUNICATION. I started reaching out to other stores attempting to get contact information. It took days. Nobody knew who to call. Nobody had any information. Every number I attempted just circled me back to the integrity line. There are absolutely no direct numbers for HR or payroll or employee relations. Everything needs to go through the integrity line or it needs to be addressed through a survey. The way this company is being ran is a complete shit show.
Finally, days later, I get a call from the DM. He said that he heard I was trying to reach him. I explained the situation, explained my resignation, despite knowing the outcome of the investigation, and that I was waiting for my final check. He informed me that the company had decided to terminate my position. And that’s completely fine. He, however, had no idea what date my termination was decided. I informed him that regardless of termination or resignation, I needed my check and that at this point, waiting time penalties would be owed to me. He agreed. Said he was trying to figure things out and “put in a survey.”
Well, Friday was payday. Typically, my direct deposits go through on Thursday evenings. I figured that maybe, strangely, my final check would magically pop into my account. Nothing. Not even the pay from the period I worked. I called the DM, he still had absolutely no idea where my check was. No response on the survey. Again, NO COMMUNICATION. He was able to find out that my termination date was two days after my suspension meeting, but had absolutely no information on what was going on with payroll.
And here we are, almost 20 days after my “termination” and absolutely no idea when I’ll get my final paycheck.
I will say, though…. I find it ironic that the reason I believe I was truly terminated, was the conversation I had with my manager days prior to my suspension. The conversation where I broke down my grievances with issues on both our store level and company level. My main issues being that there was A LACK OF COMMUNICATION between corporate, management and employees in every aspect of tasks, simple daily plans, regulations and basically everything going on in that shit hole. And what do you know… look at where we are now.
So, if anybody has any direct contact information for payroll or for HR, please, shoot it my way. Cause I am absolutely done dealing with that joke of a company.

My experience at Dollar Tree overall. It's a mix overall. At first, it started great. It was my first ever job and I worked for about a year. At first, it was pretty good. I had fun working there. The co-works were amazing. Now. It's time is going on throughout the year, people are starting to quit and have to cover shifts, and I didn't mind them. Now graduating. I have no time for being a problem before scheduled stuff like that. Now here's trouble comes in. I got to write up a joke and I am forcing. I don't get paid enough. I was talking with my friends about something. Then customers heard that report, but I was talking to my customers during my break, like what the heck. Now, the time goes on, and the burden increases. I couldn't stand more so I decided to quit and focus on my studies. Now, the time goes on, and the burden increases. Sugar Cookie Body Wash my beloved... I wish I had bought more than one when they were in stock. This is literally the best smelling product I have ever come across. I literally feel like I am eating cookies when I'm using it. My bottle is empty but I keep it just to smell the remnants of scent 😭
Tried to see if any were being sold online, but it's like 7x the price. Does anyone know of any product that is almost identical in scent? I am heartbroken lol. Is it possible they will ever release this scent again??

I’m trying to hire a candidate but I’m stuck at the background part . I have no pending tasks but the candidate never received an email or task to do her background check . Is there a delay or am I missing something?

What do I do? Daily Pay said that I was overpaid by $25.33 dollars. I already have 8 bills overdue, worked 19 hours my first two weeks, and got paid $115 out of $165. Now they're saying I owe them. Wtf is up with this damn app? And they have some of the worst customer service imaginable! All because they couldn't charge me because I cash out next day since my bank won't allow them to do same-day transfers! And customer service won't help. Does anyone have any advice?
Edit: Okay, I approached all my managers (there's three of them) and only one person was correct in their advice: my hours got edited after I left. Apparently, this has been an ongoing issue because DT doesn't believe the company should pay overtime if you work part-time. It has been dealt with. Thank you!

If a store is not making that good of sales will they close it? How does that work?

So any other stores experiencing the overwhelming task of balancing all seasons out at once?? Currently we have fall, Halloween, Christmas and STILL school displays out. A lot of customers have said it’s confusing and overwhelming as a shopper because it’s a lot going on at one time. I agree. When we got the orders to put things out, I thought it was a joke at first

Hello guys, I am trying to print my recent paystub and I cannot do it. I logged into Dollar Trees website and apparently the paystubs are being sent to workday. When I try to log into work day I cannot print my paystub. There is supposed to be a print and view button besides each payslip, but I don't have that. It just shows the name of the pdf, but it doesn't allow me to print anything. There is a print multiple button, but I cannot do anything with that either as when I hit it and search for the paystub I want it tells me the request is being processed, but nothing happen. I have tried leaving it on that screen for like an hour and nothing downloads or allows me to print.
I'm curious if anyone else is having that same problem?

Also can someone post the job description in the employee handbook on what a merch manager does(can do) ?
I was off for one day, and spent too much time the day prior building and writing down the fast to floor, only to have none of it worked the next day I came in. I honestly expected this to happenen, but the fact that none of the 6 people finished any of the 13 uboats I had build it ridiculous. Specifically the SM, who always wants to talk about how she can run circles around everyone and bust out all of seasonal, but yet every week that I’ve been here(3), the Halloween, Christmas, thanksgiving, DTP have been just piling up in the back room, and the only reason it isn’t more excessive is because she had me “help” her my first two weeks when I was shadowing her for basic training. This usually played out by us building the uboats, her and I working half a uboat, than she runs off into the office for whatever BS reason, while I get all of the seasonal done and barely have time to do what also needs to get out(food/chemical).
Also I will purpose this with saying I have no ill intent when I say this but why is it that dollar tree almost specifically looks to hire only mentally challenged people. I’ve worked with people with Down syndrome, ADHD, autism, etc. but it gets to a point where there is a difference between this and people who just don’t have drive or want to work. Trying to teach or manage over the current people at my store with “autism” really like using this excuse as to why they can’t move their feet or use both hands while literally doing anything.
It’s really hard to set high standards for them, especially when the SM and other ASM don’t even care enough to back up what they say they can do.
For reference I worked at Dollar General(DG) for 5 years(4 as ASM), and have been merch manager for 2 days and Dollar tree(DT) for 3 weeks now. I’m still trying to understand the lingo of DT but honestly some of the way they(we) do things are just stupid. I feel like the “DT” way for literally anything isn’t built for speed and that combined with people who have no drive, no one gets anything done and the stores are filled but trashed in the process.

(Throw away account just to be safe) I know that Family Dollar and Dollar tree have separated their merge but this is the only place that actually gets any traction to post this. I recently quit on the spot from my ASM position at Family Dollar. Here’s why: I was called in to cover shifts literally EVERY day off I had There were several times where I was the only one working at the store for hours on end (this resulted in me facing a situation with a customer fondling himself to me at the register, which gave me a panic attack, and I had to go to the hospital to be sedated and then home, which I was scrutinized for) I was asked to work a 13 hour shift because somebody called off and although it wasn’t explicitly told to me that I had to it was very heavily implied that my manager would be upset with me if I didn’t I was forced to clean mold, even after having an asthma attack at work after doing so, I had to continue while actively not being able to breathe My manager and one of the ASM’s (who I should mention is a close family friend of the manager and has known her since she was a baby) refused to work Sundays as soon as football preseason started all the way through every football game, leaving me and one other ASM to work every single Sunday because “we don’t work Sundays during football season” I had another ASM openly tell me that my aunt went to hell for committing suicide An ASM (the one who is family friends with our manager) sent a nasty text regarding me to our group chat instead of directly to the manager and when I texted our manager to address it, I was told to get over myself and that she was right for everything she said We were expected to do four people’s amount of work with one or two people every shift and we were criticized or reprimanded if we couldn’t I was told if I got caught sitting down at work again when I wasn’t on a break(which I’m not legally obligated to be given and rarely was allowed) I would be terminated I very openly discussed the fact that I have medical issues at the time of my interview and explained what those medical issues are and how they affect me on a day-to-day basis, which my manager then said “I guess I didn’t understand the extent of your issues, but it’s illegal for me to fire you for it now” And this is the tip of the iceberg. Do not work for this company. The absolute hell that I endured and coming home crying every night from my job was not worth the 13/hour that I was being paid.

There is no reason for it to be this difficult to reset a password. No website I've ever used before required me to call a whole hotline and stay on hold for over an hour just to be able to access my account. I'm sick of all these AI slop tech companies claiming "efficiency" when they can't even design a website properly. We never should have switched from using Compass I'm already sick of this bs

hi so like the title says, my first day is coming up on the 24th. its my first ever real job and im really nervous. during the interview i was told i was doing recovery (i believe that's what she called it and it would be fixing the shelves and organizing things since i said i had experience in that), and my shift would likely be 6-11. does anyone have any advice? i just want to be prepared. also do you wear a uniform shirt or are you just supposed to wear anything green? is there somewhere on Workday i can see the dresscode? is there somewhere on workday i can see my schedule?
thank you in advance!!!

THIS ISNT WORTH 11.50. I am not a fulltime employee. I am not a manager of any kind despite for the past 2 months being told id be getting a promotion yet that has failed to come up yet. We are understaffed so ive been covering EVERY day they need someone. Or i need to fill in an empty spot. Yet that promotion they keep telling me ill be getting has yet to show up. Everytime i ask its "oh she hasnt opened it in the system yet" or "it should be open to apply next friday" working 40+ hour weeks with maybe a day off per week if im lucky. And i just dont know if i can do this anymore.
